[Catholic Caucus] Thank you, Pope Francis
The fruits of the Church of dialogue, accompaniment, mercy, welcome, synodality…
This is my church on Sunday at 11 AM before September 21 when the deadly thunderclap of Traditionis custodes fell with full force on my archdiocese:
This is my church at 11 am on Sunday now:
Thank you, Pope Francis, for bringing the success of your pontificate to my parish.

Ah, “Is the Pope Catholic?” has new meaning. Uh, a new answer, too.

At least it’s not a mosque yet.

‘Thank you, Pope Francis, for bringing the success of your pontificate to my parish.’
I keep telling you, SSPX; it’s your only hope...
do you care if SSPX priests ‘do not legitimately exercise any ministry in the RCC’, according to Ratzinger/Benedict XVI...
To: IrishBrigade
SSPX has a role to play. They are *an* answer, but they are not *the* answer. Bergoglio would like nothing better than to limit the TLM to a SSPX ghetto, but we need to keep the pressure on to save the TLM within the regular diocesan world, as ultimately that will be the main avenue for restoration.

I think Bergoglio, Roche and their ilk look at those photos and think, “Mission accomplished.”

How does one say “let’s go Francis” in Latin?

Some things in this world are worth fighting for…
Others, looking at these pics… maybe not so much…
If the plan is to cut n’ run when these battles arise…
It’ll be as easy as the Amalekites picking off the weak Israelites who couldn’t keep up,,,
Or maybe as the sports analogy goes…
“maybe we just didn’t want it bad enough”

Venite igitur, francis!
The expression is idiomatic, so I understand your use of "venite". But literally, doesn't that mean "Therefore, come Francis?".
My limited Latin training makes me want to use "agere" (to drive or do), possibly as a sunjunctive first person plural (ageremur? My memory of the subjunctive is weak)

If the plan is to cut n’ run when these battles arise…Why must you modernists always assume the worse of your fellow catholics, who happen to be traditional, Murph?
Many of the Catholics in the first photo lived outside Fr. Cusick's tiny parish. They had been traveling long distances, some over 100 miles, from all over southern Maryland just to attend a TLM closest to them.
With Bergoglio and Gregory robbing them of that Mass, why would they continue to make those long trips to a bogus ordo Mass that is available to them much closer to their homes?
Traditional Catholics are the last to "cut 'n run". It's you modernists who have cut 'n run from the faith of our fathers.

I think “let’s go Francis” would be imperative, “Ite Francisce!”, or something like it. “Ite Francisce” is “Go, Francis!”. I’m not sure what to do with “Let’s”; it’s idiomatic.

The "Let's " is why I was drawn to the subjunctive. "Allow us to go", "That we may go". "Ite" works for "Go", but that not only drops the "Let's" but it is singular, so the "us" is also dropped.
Oh well, as the brilliant polyglot Fr. Amar pointed out (no doubt quoting another) "every translator is a traitor".

I was simply agreeing with the very astute comment made about what is really at play here.
The division of faithfulness to outside the Church to make it easier for the egoists to cement their power.
And though we know in the end - they will fail... DON'T MAKE IT SO DAMN EASY FOR THEM!!!
sure, Lets roar like lions, while we sacrifice like lambs.. (as the song goes)
You should have watched yesterday's video sermon.
It BATTLE time - NOT WALK AWAY time...
This current Pope has an agenda it is obvious-
That is not how it is supposed to be-
but thats what we face
- and since he's not capable of a true pastoral guidance of the Church-
while we must respect the Seat of Peter-
we must resist, respectfully, in ANY way possible...
And he is NOT following Vat2 at all... so you can cut that crap out already-
Pope Francis cares more about pleasing governments than Ecumenical outreach.
He's proven to be just the opposite of bringing nations to Christ through the Church.
So we must wait him out...
That doesn't mean we give in....Abp. Sheen must be rolling in the grave.
When will get to see a picture of those same Parishioners on the doorstep of that Priest rectory- praying?
How about a picture with all of those parishioners in the Pews at 11:00 O'clock in prayer? Fighting back.
This IS NOT THEIR Church- it's the Church of Jesus Christ - and they need to be reminded of it... It's not their Church- it's our Church...
The next Pope will see or know that the TLM IS (and was) worth fighting for-
and those parishioners in 2022 made a helluva lot of noise - and prayer - to be able to worship that Mass-
" So maybe its worth reinstating, like B16 did."
But that won't happen if the Trads go quietly into the night- or into the pit of schismatic despair that leads to endless division oblivion that began 500 years ago.
You carped and were so outraged recently when a Bishop - quite emphatically- told the laity to get off their rear ends and stand up for the Church-
and rebuke the secular world cancelling Catholic culture.
But that's our battle now.
And we should embrace it- not run from it.
Its not their Church...
We were told- 50 years ago-
"Who is going to save OUR Church?
NOT our bishops, not our priests and religious.
It is up to YOU, the people.
You have the minds, the eyes, and the ears to save the Church.
Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops act like bishops,
and your religious act like religious." –
Fulton J. Sheen, 1972
