A Missouri pastor berated his 'poor' congregation for not honoring him with a new expensive watch he asked for a year ago while reportedly delivering a sermon about 'taking care of God's shepherd.'
Pastor Carlton Funderburke, of Kansas City, was caught calling his congregation 'poor, broke, busted, and disgusted' after they still hadn't bought him an expensive Movado watch - which ranges in price from $395 to $3,295 - since he first asked for it in last year.
'I'm not worth your McDonald's money? I'm not worth your Red Lobster money?' he asked the Church at the Well congregation as he paced around on stage on August 7. 'I ain't worth your St. John Knits - y'all can't afford it no how.

The three “s” that tempt a pastor to fall into sin...
sex
silver
sloth
...but THIS dude?...he didn’t fall, he JUMPED
The message, Pastor Fundament, is “Go. You’re not worth it.”
At least he wasn’t as avaricious as the Brooklyn Pastor who got robbed of his $Million bling attire
I guess you missed the story last month about a “pastor” in Brooklyn who was robbed of a million dollars worth of bling that he was wearing a (including a fancy watch). I mean, you wouldn’t want this poor guy in Missouri to feel left out and unloved because his congregation didn’t care enough to drape him in a million dollars worth of bling of his own.
I don’t know what it is about these congregations. Why do they just sit there nodding and hand over their money to these fraudsters?
BTW, the one in Brooklyn is already the focus of a lawsuit by a member of his “church” attempting to recover $90,000 (her life savings) that he had swindled her out of. And they even know they’re being fleeced: at Al Sharpton’s tax evasion trial, where he was accused of collecting for his church but using it for bling and fancy cars, one little old lady said she knew he was going to take her money for himself to buy a new Cadillac, but that was okay because “he deserved it.”
Al got off because his victims refused to complain. How stupid are these people?
It’s disgraceful, and I’ve always suspected that the reason these “pastors” get away with it is because they do one thing well: they turn out their congregations for the Democratic Party.
I would go find another ‘sheperd’. They are suppose to lay down their LIFE for the sheep. Giving it all.
I didn’t think I had to look, and I din’t.
I’m not speaking of being a pastor, I’m speaking about the race itself.
Movado? What a loser. Demand a Rolex.
What an ignorant, racist comment.
Good grief.
It could have been Sizzler as well.
You are so right about Osteen and those other televangelist carnival barkers. In this case, this “pastor” is looking at Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jessie Jackson, and wondering why he can’t get in on the action. Poverty pimps make good money.
People like him are part of why so many turn away from attending church.
Dad was a country preacher. We were technically poverty level in our state. Some of the merchants in town gave discounts to the clergy, but Dad always refused.
Two uncles also lived similar lives.
I can’t even imagine a pastor doing what this guy did.
You ain’t worth my dollar menu money, you whited sephulchre.

If he needs a new watch, get him a Casio.
From the "church" website.
As you probably know, that’s Mike Murdock. He’s a smooth and clever monster. Give not because it’s the right thing to do, but because you’ll be getting even more money back.
I’ve heard Murdock say that if you have no money, no problem. Just use your credit card. Go into debt to support Murdock’s lavish lifestyle.
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
Matthew 7:15
"You're cheap!"
"Amen!"
"Busted!"
"Praise him!"
"Disgusted!"
"Hallelujah!"
"CAN I GET WITNESS!"
Our local church started bending to the woke crowd. My wife and I had enough. We started streaming her old pastor in Northern Ireland every Sunday, and having quiet time together:

Our tithes go to Thru the Bible.

The church needs to get back to the basics.
