Marjorie Taylor Greene: I Was Raised Catholic, but Wicked Bishops Have ‘Driven Me Away’ from the Church
LifeSite News ^ | 5/4/22 | Claire Chretien

‘Mrs. Greene's statement about leaving the Church is as enlightening as it is saddening,’ commented Michael Hichborn, president of the Lepanto Institute.

(LifeSiteNews) – Following criticism of comments she made about the U.S. Catholic bishops, conservative firebrand U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed that she was raised Catholic but left the Church “with great sorrow” when she had kids because she had concerns about the left-wing hierarchy protecting abusive priests.

“With great sorrow, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, I stopped attending Catholic Mass when I became a mother, because I realized that I could not trust the Church’s leadership to protect my children from pedophiles, and that they harbored monsters even in their own ranks,” the now-evangelical said in a lengthy statement.

The Georgia Republican was responding to the Catholic League’s Bill Donahue, who slammed her for suggesting in an interview with Church Militant’s Michael Voris that “Satan is controlling the Church.”

“The Church is not doing its job. And it’s not adhering to the teachings of Christ,” she added.

“It’s the Church leadership I was referring to when I invoked the Devil,” Greene clarified on Twitter. “Just so we’re clear, bishops, when I said ‘controlled by Satan,’ I wasn’t talking about the Catholic Church. I was talking about you.”

“The Catholic Church must throw out these monsters instead of lecturing the people its own bishops have driven away,” she continued, blasting the U.S. Catholic bishops as “some of the worst in the world” and “scheming bureaucrats in miters.” It was the “bishops’ wickedness” that drove her out of the Church, Greene said, and her own refusal to “submit the spiritual and physical livelihood of my children to these monsters.”

Greene, who is sometimes referred to as “MTG” (à la “AOC”), went on to say what many faithful Catholics who.......

It is the Truth.

I’m sorry you don’t accept it.

I’ll pray for you, also.

Ebb, Jesus took on flesh and welt among us as a JEW. Not a Catholic or a Protestant, a Jew.

So why aren't you a Jew?

It always amuses me when non-catholics tell me what my "religion says".

It always saddens me to hear the Catholic religion say that obeying what an apparition tells them is ok to do - or not.

A Marian apparition, if deemed genuine by Church authority, is treated as private revelation that may emphasize some facet of the received public revelation for a specific purpose, but it can never add anything new to the deposit of faith. The Church will confirm an apparition as worthy of belief, but belief is never required by divine faith.

In some apparitions such as Our Lady of Lourdes or Our Lady of Fatima an actual vision is reported,
fully resembling that of a person being present.

In some of these reports the viewers (at times children) do not initially report that they saw the Virgin Mary,
but that they saw "a Lady" (often but not always dressed in white) and had a conversation with her.

In these cases the viewers report experiences that resemble the visual and verbal interaction
with a person present at the site of the apparition.

Guess what? My religion says there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church.

Guess what? Your 'education' is NOT complete.

The following quotations from the Church Fathers give the straight story. They show that the early Church held the same position on this as the contemporary Church does—that is, whereas it is normatively necessary to be a Catholic to be saved (see CCC 846; Vatican II, Lumen Gentium 14), it is possible in some circumstances for people to be saved who have not been fully initiated into the Catholic Church (CCC 847).

Notice that the same Fathers who declare the normative necessity of being Catholic also declare the possibility of salvation for some who are not Catholics.

The Assumption of Mary is one of the four Marian dogmas of the Catholic Church, and holds that the Virgin Mary "having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory".

The dogma was defined by Pope Pius XII on 1 November 1950, in the apostolic constitution Munificentissimus Deus.

The equivalent belief in the Eastern Orthodox Church is the Dormition of the Mother of God or "the Falling Asleep of the Mother of God".Wikipedia

The Dogma of the Assumption of Mary - Just for Catholics

The Dogma of the Assumption of Mary. In the Eastern Church, the dormition ("falling asleep") of Mary began to be commemorated in the 6th century. The observance gradually spread to the West, where it became known as the feast of the Assumption.

By the 13th century most Catholic theologians accepted the belief of the Assumption.

We can see here the pure perfect example of what I like to call ‘ebb pride.’

He claims to believe that God and only God can judge souls, and uses it as a defense every time his own sin is called out.

In the next breath, he seizes what he claims to believe is God’s domain for himself.

Ebb pride, trying to make himself God!

I believe you are over reaching to accuse Ebb of trying to be god.

If I was using the (Biblical) standards that I hold myself to, I agree that would be over-reaching.

However, I’m using the standards that ebb uses against other people. As the Lord says, “For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

“The Secret Rapture Fallacy”

A video that clearly shows the “fallacy” of the PTR, point by point. The last half specifically deals with literal ISRAEL as God’s chosen people and the scriptural texts that CLEARLY disprove this notion. Literal Israel is finished as God’s chosen nation. DONE. Daniel’s 70 weeks figure prominently into that discussion.

Almost every FALSE ARGUMENT made by your side is addressed in this video. MHG should pay close attention.

It is obvious that you are afraid of the truth. Therefore you are DEAD MAN WALKING. With your “vast” biblical knowledge you should be able to refute every point the pastor makes, WITH SCRIPTURE. But you won’t (can’t). That is a COWARDLY position. What does the bible say about Cowards?

Revelation 21:8But to the COWARDLY and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.

How does it feel to be condemned to Hell by a follower of a false prophetess, MHG? (You know I’m grinning as I ask. Ha, ha.) One who doesn’t even understand where the passage he quotes fits in the timeline of God’s plan and does not even apply to the Church? You laughing, too? Such confusion wrought by such a cult.
