Marjorie Taylor Greene: I Was Raised Catholic, but Wicked Bishops Have ‘Driven Me Away’ from the Church

‘Mrs. Greene's statement about leaving the Church is as enlightening as it is saddening,’ commented Michael Hichborn, president of the Lepanto Institute.

(LifeSiteNews) – Following criticism of comments she made about the U.S. Catholic bishops, conservative firebrand U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed that she was raised Catholic but left the Church “with great sorrow” when she had kids because she had concerns about the left-wing hierarchy protecting abusive priests.

“With great sorrow, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, I stopped attending Catholic Mass when I became a mother, because I realized that I could not trust the Church’s leadership to protect my children from pedophiles, and that they harbored monsters even in their own ranks,” the now-evangelical said in a lengthy statement.

The Georgia Republican was responding to the Catholic League’s Bill Donahue, who slammed her for suggesting in an interview with Church Militant’s Michael Voris that “Satan is controlling the Church.”

“The Church is not doing its job. And it’s not adhering to the teachings of Christ,” she added.

“It’s the Church leadership I was referring to when I invoked the Devil,” Greene clarified on Twitter. “Just so we’re clear, bishops, when I said ‘controlled by Satan,’ I wasn’t talking about the Catholic Church. I was talking about you.”

“The Catholic Church must throw out these monsters instead of lecturing the people its own bishops have driven away,” she continued, blasting the U.S. Catholic bishops as “some of the worst in the world” and “scheming bureaucrats in miters.” It was the “bishops’ wickedness” that drove her out of the Church, Greene said, and her own refusal to “submit the spiritual and physical livelihood of my children to these monsters.”

Greene, who is sometimes referred to as “MTG” (à la “AOC”), went on to say what many faithful Catholics who.......

To prop up the lie, the cultist startes that it is Jesus who makes the covenant of the seventieth week. That lie is followed by half truth interpretation of the prophecy by Daniel and the historical record of the period following the resurrection of Jesus tot he destruction of Jerusalem. It is the same lie at the heart of preterism which some Catholics assert. Yet the cultist claims that Roman Catholicism is the antiChrist restrained by the government of Rome.

The contrqadictions are almost ALMOST laughable.

--> It was the JEWS that broke the covenant.

God's covenant (Abrahamic) with Israel was unconditional.

It remains in force today.

Well, “was” restrained.

I’m not the only one that believes it. EVERY SINGLE REFORMER THAT EVER LIVED believed it (they are all dead, BTW, many of them being tortured and murdered by the Catholic church). But you’re special.

The 70th week of Daniel was their very last chance. And, it ended with the stoning of Steven. They are FINISHED as a favored nation/people.

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

38. Your house. Only the day before Jesus had referred to the Temple as “my house” (ch. 21:13). Now it was “your house.” Christ’s words must have struck terror to the hearts of priests and rulers. This declaration may also have come before their minds during the course of His trial (see ch. 26:61–64). The rent veil three days later was a visible sign that God no longer accepted the meaningless round of forms and ceremonies that were, for nearly 40 years longer, carried on there (see ch. 27:51). It was now the midst of the prophetic week of Dan. 9:27, and so far as Heaven was concerned the value of sacrifice and oblation was about to cease forever. See on Matt. 24:3, 15; cf. Luke 21:20; see Vol. IV, p. 35.

Blessed is he. Jesus referred to the time when men—including those “also which pierced him” (Rev. 1:7)—would see Him “coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matt. 24:30). At the last great day even scoffers would be compelled to acknowledge the blessedness of the One whom they now so freely cursed (see Phil. 2:9– 11). The scribes and Pharisees to whom Jesus spoke would be in that throng. Jesus meant, “You will not see me again till I return in glory.” Soon after speaking these words Jesus departed forever from the precincts of the Temple. For other events preceding this departure from the courts of the Temple see on Mark 12:41–44; John 12:20–50.

What SAD foolishness!

The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.

The covenant is one-sided.

And though any believer knows this, the SAD religion didn’t replace Israel. They simply tried to steal the promises God gave her.

But you followed a false woman prophet as leader of your religion and this is what you got.

——>God’s covenant (Abrahamic) with Israel was unconditional.

And who is now “Israel”, grafted into the vine, etc...?

Gal 3:29And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.…

Romans 9:
6Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

7Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

8That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Matthew 21:13And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

MY HOUSE

and now...

Matthew 23:38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

YOUR HOUSE

The Jewish nation is finished. They REJECTED Christ. Done.

They had 490 years of probation to...
“finish the transgression (rebellion),”
“make an end of sins,”
“make reconciliation for iniquity,”

The last 3.5 years after Christ’s death (crucified in the middle of the 70th week) was it for the Jewish nation. Their fate was sealed with the stoning of Stephen. THEY ARE FINISHED AS GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE.

Did you expect anything else?

He mocks the Word of God without even a hint of remorse.

Of course he would try to steal the Abrahamic promises despite the same promises being offered freely to him!

They are offered for FREE, FREE, FREE, to all who are in Christ. That steal part is ridiculous (sounds like something a Jesuit would say).

YOUR HOUSE

The Jewish nation is finished. They REJECTED Christ. Done.

No, and Balaam did not have a good end. It is unwise to curse the Jews and the Catholics.

31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:

36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

37 Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord.

It is unwise to despise the Jews being a nation before God.

24 Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the Lord hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

25 Thus saith the Lord; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;

26 Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.

The promises still belong to "my kinsmen according to the flesh."

3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

Be not wise in your own conceits.

25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.

29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

---->No, and Balaam did not have a good end. It is unwise to curse the Jews and the Catholics.

Definitely not cursing Jews or Catholics. Only stating biblical facts and trying to talk some sense into those deceived, for the time is short.

All Israel. That Paul is not teaching universal salvation for either Gentiles or Jews has already been shown (see on v. 25). Furthermore, why should only the generation of Jews living in the time of the end be assured of salvation by some kind of divine decree? Paul has expressed his hope that “some of them” (v. 14) might be saved. It seems evident from this that he believed that many would reject all efforts to save them, and that accordingly he never envisioned the conversion of the entire nation.

Some commentators hold that the faithful remnant (see on v. 5) to which are added those Jews who accept Christ during the Christian Era, constitute the “all Israel” who will be saved. This view is based on the observation that Paul’s burden in ch. 11 is the salvation of his fellow Israelites. He contrasts their salvation with that of the Gentiles. The two groups are distinguished throughout the chapter by the Jews’ being referred to in the third person and the Gentiles in the second. The salvation of the former is described by the expression “all Israel shall be saved”; that of the latter by “the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.”

Other commentators hold that “all Israel” represents spiritual Israel. This view is based on the belief that Paul is here completing his illustration of the olive tree. He has shown how the branches representing the unbelieving Jews were broken off, and the wild olive shoots, representing the Gentiles, grafted in. He has shown, also, how the severed branches could be reunited with the parent stock. By the grafting in of these branches the tree representing spiritual Israel would again be made whole. “All Israel” would thus represent the totality of those saved, Jews and Gentiles, who together constitute “all” of true Israel (Rom. 2:28, 29; Gal. 6:15, 16).
