Pot meet kettle.
“ There are a lot of folks out there who cling to the idea that there are “secrets” or “signs” out there that reveal what is to happen, mainly so they can fool themselves into thinking they are smarter than everyone else.”
Ah yes. Pride. No mortal has this figured out. Always be ready. At any time …
Too late that already happened back in 1988
Time to re-read my OLD pamphlet 88 REASONS THE RAPTURE WILL BE IN 1988!
Didn’t believe it then, don’t fall for it now.
Matthew 24:36
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
From what little I understand from what I’ve read and heard about it, depending on the person and their sins, for some it could literally be like being in rapture, but probably not for the rest of us. Yikes …
Given the state of the world and the speed and direction things are moving nowadays, this event, along with what follows, could very well be exactly the reset humanity needs. Jesus thinks so, if what I’ve read is true.
So I’m hopeful for that event coming soon, but the Rapture others are predicting seems like a lot of Bible away from where we are now.
Time to bring another Hal Lindsay out of the barn...
Oops yes
Pre-Tribulation rapture folks have TWO second comings...
it's "2000 year gap" and forgeting that the book of Daniel was fulfilled with Christ's triumph and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD
“Garabandal”
As bad as Wikipedia can be, please read its page “Garabandal apparitions” and particularly the section “Contents”. The bishop of the diocese of Santander, where Garabandal is located, said in 1967 that there was no apparition of the Blessed Virgin or St. Michael there. It’s propagandists say they wait for a final word from the Vatican but that’s not it works. The local bishop investigates alleged apparitions in his diocese and his decision will not be overridden by the Vatican. Please do not wait for the fulfillment of a 60-year old alleged apparition. One of its visionaries died in 2009. Why would the consciences of the people of this era be given a special “Warning”? Wouldn’t many at the Lord’s left hand say to Him on the day of Judgment: “Why didn’t you give me a special Warning?” Medjugorje, now 40 years running, is even worse. That hoax was condemned by the bishop there at the time of its occurrence. His successor concurred. At this point Medjugorje involves great sums of money with its never ending flow of pilgrims. Pope Francis’ gut is correct about Medjugorje. He says he views Mary as a Mother and not a postmistress who delivers a message every day. And yet he appoints someone to accompany the pilgrims. Please be discerning. Test, don’t fall for Catholic versions of the Rapture. IMO, both phony Catholic apparitions/revelations and the Rapture are versions of the second century heresy of Gnosticism where small groups of people think they have special knowledge/special insight and will receive special treatment. The Martyrs weren’t raptured. If they couldn’t flee to the next town, they were martyred. Sadly, people will still be waiting for the Rapture when they are told to get the mark of the beast. And then they will be set up for a crisis of and loss of faith at precisely the time a STRONG faith is most required. If there’s a Rapture would many of those at the left hand of the Lord on Judgment Day say: “Why didn’t you rapture me out of the Hellish pagan society I was living in?” The Rapture is yet another denial of the Cross. The Lord will whiz me up out of the sufferings of the last days.
3rd line should read “not how it works”.
The 19th century modernist philosophy called the pre tribulation rapture. Just like Mormonism, jehovah’s witnesses and Seventh day Adventist, the pre tribulation rapture philosophy arose in 19th century America. And just like them, it ie biblically and historically false.
A bonus!
Garabandal is said to be the sequel to Fatima and, given the events of Fatima and how things played out, I remain watchful and keep my mind open to things in Scripture that might point to such an event.
I am not overly persuaded by counter opinions from church officials now, since I think there will always be some who follow the patterns laid down by their ancestors who conspired against Jesus, put Him to death on the Cross and then created some propaganda stories to make people believe Jesus was a big fake.
It’s tricky, but, in a way, their denials offer a kind of confirmation to the authenticity of such events. In the old days, they killed His prophets and they denied Him and His miracles, including that of conversion.
We see the same templates being used again and again today, both in the Church and in the governments of today, but especially so in our GovCo and its media with the various works of the Beast today, here and now, like with the vaxx perhaps?
I do read their counter arguments and let them speak to me, but try to remain a researcher and a good data taker taking good data.
Looking for and taking good supernatural data is tricky, but irresistible to me and the Catholics have a rich history full of very cool supernatural stuff going on. I am open minded to hear what it says and the Catholics say about it.
Like with the many families that claim me and with the many sides I am supposed to take with my loyalties to each, I try not to differentiate my self into any of the many versions of Christianity and not get caught up in the whose church is His Church arguments dating back to the 12 disciples.
I don’t know enough and am still a seeker and I instead want to keep an open mind to the whole body of Christ, instead of the ways we have sliced Him up.
As it is, I think all of us have a piece of the Truth along with some other stuff we came up with to explain and support our piece of the Truth.
And, at various times, we Christians will fight each other to the death to maintain ours as being the right one.
Instead, I’d rather listen and learn and hopefully be ready to meet Him whenever and how that meeting happens.
And I thank you for sharing your thoughts with me(!) and I hope you don’t mind me sharing the stuff I have found with you.
I know where you are coming from and give absolutely zero credence to your interpretation of almost every theological point beyond Jesus Christ is the Son of God offered up as a sacrifice in atonement for our sins.
I’m coming from what Christian’s believe and have believed for the past 2000 years.
Those who hold to the pre tribulation rapture philosophy and dispensationalism are anti scriptural.
Revelation talks primarily of the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
Rev 1.1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show his servants what must happen soon.
Rev 1.3 the appointed time is near
Rev 3.11 I am coming quickly.
Rev 22.6-7 6 And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true, and the Lord, the God of prophetic spirits, sent his angel to show his servants what must happen soon.” 7 [e]“Behold, I am coming soon.
Rev 22.10 the appointed time[g] is near
Rev 22.12 Behold, I am coming soon.
Rev 22.20 l]The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
This was written in 64 AD.
Coming soon meant in 70 AD not 2000 years later.
Sorry I’ve replied to you in the past. I will try not to in the future.
