High RAPTURE of the CHURCH Watch!! Oct 7-8
YouTube ^ | 29 Sept 2021 | Generation2434

Posted on 10/03/2021 11:37:08 PM PDT by Salvavida

Guys, we're looking at scriptural and logical reasons to see Oct 7-8 2021 as being HIGH WATCH time for the RAPTURE! Am I setting a date? NO. Do I know for sure it will happen then? NO. Remember our hope is in Jesus Christ, and not in a date. However, there is reason to look at this October 7-8 as a HIGH WATCH period. God bless!

The Bible doesn’t teach it????? LOL!!!!!!! I have not heard that one before.
The TEXT tells you what happens to them. Whatever sect you belong to, isn’t getting you to truth.

In fact, there are seven “raptures” in the Bible, plain as day:

Enoch
Moses
Elijah
Jesus Christ
The Old Testament Saints
The Church
The Two Witnesses

Not sure how you haven’t heard that the Bible doesn’t teach it. It was only made up a couple hundred years ago. None of the mainline churches teach a rapture separate from the second coming.

The Bible does NOT teach that we will be “raptured” en masse. It just doesn’t teach that. Sorry.

I’m not sure who filled your head with this. Absolutely false. I did a paper on this as an undergrad and the evidence that it was the confession of both NT writers, the early church and early church fathers is consistent: a pre-trib rapture of the church before 2nd advent.

At that point, it is just willingness to hit the books and learn.

But please understand me: I have no preference. I don’t care. God makes the rules, not me.

God’s Word will be accomplished. That is precisely your problem.

Thank you for today's blessing!

Any day is a good day to be a good problem. :)

Philip was raptured after his encounter with the Ethiopian.
Paul was raptured in 2 Corinthians 12:2.

Two other examples for you.

Maranatha!

Paul was evidently un-raptured then, because he travelled to Rome, wrote a couple of epistles from there, was imprisoned and then beheaded on Caesar Nero’s orders, and his body is entombed in the Basilica of St. Paul’s Outside-the-Walls to this very day.

Mmmmmm. Phillip was transported, not “taken up”. Not a rapture, although certainly supernaturally........wow.....I can’t wait to talk to Phillip about that.

2 Cor 12 is rough. I lean towards Dr Constable: God revealed something deeply personal to Paul in order to strengthen him, he couldn’t tell whether he was physically transported or whether it was perceived by a vision.

But not a “rapture” because we know he is murdered by Nero. Here is Dr Constable’s commentary:

LOL!
Try understanding what Harpazo or “Rapture” means before you post something ridiculous like that.

The Greek word for “snatched” is the same used as Rapture according to Strong’s Concordance. Ponder it if you wish.

A “rapture” doesn’t mean a complete 100% rescue. Paul was

Pronounce: har-pad’-zo
Orig: from a derivative of 138; to seize (in various applications):—catch (away, up), pluck, pull, take (by force). G138

Use: TDNT-1:472,80 Verb

Heb Strong: H1497 H2862 H2963 H3920

1) to seize, carry off by force
2) to seize on, claim for one’s self eagerly
3) to snatch out or away

And the same with 2 Cor 12:

Pronounce: har-pad’-zo

Strongs Number: G726

Orig: from a derivative of 138; to seize (in various applications):—catch (away, up), pluck, pull, take (by force). G138

Use: TDNT-1:472,80 Verb

Heb Strong: H1497 H2862 H2963 H3920

1) to seize, carry off by force
2) to seize on, claim for one’s self eagerly
3) to snatch out or away

Meant to finish my thought on Paul.

Paul was “taken”, “seized”, “snatched”.

I’m not disagreeing on the use of the word, I am disagreeing as to application as a “type” as we know it, as a foretelling of the universal rapture of believers. Paul isn’t sure, and Phillip’s experience doesn’t match our understanding of what a rapture is: removing the physical body from the effects of judgment.

Good point though.

Verses 34 through 36: One is taken; one is not.
Who was taken/destroyed in Noah’s case? *The unrighteous*. Noah, the righteous, was left.

Who was taken/destroyed in Lot’s case? *The unrighteous*. Lot, the righteous, was left.
Lot’s wife was not a pervert like the Sodomites, but her fate resulted from her disobedience.

In Noah's case, the unrighteous were left behind to suffer the Flood. Noah was taken to safety.

Lot was taken from the city while the unrighteous were left behind to suffer the destruction.
