Guys, we're looking at scriptural and logical reasons to see Oct 7-8 2021 as being HIGH WATCH time for the RAPTURE! Am I setting a date? NO. Do I know for sure it will happen then? NO. Remember our hope is in Jesus Christ, and not in a date. However, there is reason to look at this October 7-8 as a HIGH WATCH period. God bless!
2nd Thess 5-7 says the Holy spirit is taken out of the way first. Believers have the Holy Spirit so they are taken out of the way too. And then the lawless one is revealed and will go on to elevate himself as if he were a god.
That lightens up the to do list, doesn’t it? :D
~~~
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the [d]mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only [e]He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
88 reasons Why The Rapture Will Be in 1988: The Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hash-Ana) September, 11-12-13 by Edgar Wisenant. SSDD
The so-called “rapture” already happened in October, 2017. Multiple posts on FR predicted it, so it must be true. You just missed it.
The church watches expectantly each Rosh Hashana. As the presenter states, we trust Jesus Christ, not a date.
But one thing is certain: the Rapture is a thing. It will come to pass, and this week has characteristics that are unlike any other.
God’s Word will be accomplished. That is precisely your problem.
What does he mean that the Jewish holidays are a month off?
Here is my take on the rapture which I think messes with yours.
Those who hold to the doctrine of a rapture quote Luke 17:34-36 which can be summarized as....
“One is taken; one is not.”
Then the assertion is made that Christians are the group that is taken (into heaven.)
The *context* for verse 34-36 begins at verse 26.
It cites Noah and the flood, Sodom, and Lot,
26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Remember Lot’s wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Verses 26 and 27 refer to Noah, the evil world in which he lived, and the destruction by means of the flood.
A key idea is that the population was unaware of the coming doom; they were doing what they had always done up to the moment the flood began.
The days of the Son of man will be days of unawareness.
The situation with Lot is described in verses 28 through 32.
The residents of Sodom lived life as they always had, and they were unaware of the coming doom until the brimstone fell.
Verse 30: People will be completely unaware until the day of the Lord; no warning.
Verse 31: Does this suggest there is no time to react before the day of the Lord begins?
The days of the Son of man will be days of unawareness.
Verse 33: Those who wanted to save their life (of sin) were destroyed. Those who lost their life (to God) were left.
Verses 34 through 36: One is taken; one is not.
Who was taken/destroyed in Noah’s case? *The unrighteous*. Noah, the righteous, was left.
Who was taken/destroyed in Lot’s case? *The unrighteous*. Lot, the righteous, was left.
Lot’s wife was not a pervert like the Sodomites, but her fate resulted from her disobedience.
We can choose two conclusions:
(1) the righteous are taken, the unrighteous are left.
(2) the unrighteous are taken, the righteous are left.
To be consistent, *taken* refers to those who were destroyed. Similarly, those who are left are Noah and Lot, still alive *on earth*. That is choice number 2.
Those who promote the rapture of today preach choice number 1. They have it backwards.
As we read the Lord’s scriptures, it appears that the Lord, himself, goes with number 2.
Rev 3:10 (KJV) “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” There’s my belief. It’s up to God from there.
Believe whatever you want. The Lord tells us to watch. My problem is with the believers who insist and even revel in suffering. My other problem is with those insufferables who write long volumes of twisted trash trying to prove themselves right.
I recommend prayer and Bible reading daily, and to give our burdens to Jesus. This arguing is just worthless.
The Jewish calendar today is tied to the Gregorian calendar, not the clock established in the heavens. IOW, the Jews celebrated Rosh Hoshana this year on Sept 6-7 before it was fall.
A fall feast must be held in the fall, and that is signified by the tilting of the earth on its axis, which was done on Sept 22-23.
Dr Awe goes into a much deeper dive on why it has to be this Oct 7-8 as a celebration of the Feast of Trumpets. He is linked to the original post.
The long and short of it is this: A generation is 80 years. The Rapture happens within 80 years. If the Rapture does not occur this year, then the next Feast of Trumpets, Israel will be 81 years old.
This week should focus on personal evangelism.
Yep. You got that right, it certainly messes with a normal plain exegesis.
I’d review Dr. Awe’s link on the original post. If you don’t get it by then, well......you will eventually get it by a supernatural force.
We conservatives have been consumed by wanting to save the United States. Sorry, it’s not there. God will turn his attention back to Israel very, very soon.
Both Matthew 24 and Luke 17 are speaking of the second coming of Christ. Is says after the tribulation of those days. There are two lines of prophecy in Revelation(Rev 10:11). The first line ends in judgment of the dead in Rev.11:18 (Earthly point of view - 1 Corinthians 15:46). The second line of prophecy starts in Rev 11:19 (Heavenly point of view). The rapture occurs in Rev 4:1 and Rev 14:16. Notice the ones left behind in chapter 14 are cast into the great winless of the wrath of God. Note also that the events in chapter 12-14 preceed events of chapter 4-11.
I almost posted the 12 minute version, but that would’ve been a bit much.
Here’s a different slant on it:
“...when a writer or speaker emphasizes something, while claiming to not say [that vey] thing.”
So...Democrats.
All wise & wonderful if the correction is post-trib to pre-trib; that’s like getting early retirement.
The other way around, though...?
Oh, that’s just not NEARLY so much fun.
It’s God’s deal, not ours; be ready to flex no matter what.
I’d rather it be post-trip, personally.
Going out like an Indiana Jones by witnessing to the lost and losing your head for Christ and earning a martyr’s crown is far more exciting than laying in a hospital receiving a morphine drip.
But a consistent hermeneutic doesn’t allow for it. Sorry.
(consumed by wanting to save the United States. Sorry, it’s not there)
That’s what Kirk Cameron was selling a few weeks ago. That the country was going to last another 1,000 years.
Not going to happen.
Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin.
(And then the lawless one is revealed and will go on to elevate himself as if he were a god.)
Yes
Yeah, I don’t know what Kirk was/is smoking. The US has to go down hard for specific prophecies to take place; a sudden move to conservatism and justice doesn’t fit.
Sorry folks, focus on Christ. I have changed my thinking on this as well.
No way...not with what we have going on here right now. It's impossible. Too many people are just plain evil.
There is not going to be a rapture. The Bible doesn’t teach that. The world will end and then there will be judgement. The righteous (Jesus knows which ones) will rise to meet him in the air, it does say, but not just snatched away and no one knows what happened to them. Go back and read it.
