On Monday, the Vatican reaffirmed that the Catholic Church cannot bless same-sex unions after its own clergy sought clarification on the matter. The decree distinguished between the welcoming and blessing of gay people, which is still the case, but not their unions, as any such recognition could be confused with the sacrament of matrimony. That of marriage between one man and one woman, God’s supposed plan for procreation purposes.
The explanation approved by Pope Francis went on to state that while gay people must be treated with dignity and respect, gay sex is “intrinsically disordered.” It is a sin. And God is not in the business of blessing sins.
.... for the church to claim that my sexuality as my choice equates to choosing to sin is a step too far.
... after this week, I am certain that I no longer have a home in the Roman Catholic Church. And that I must finally move on.
...I may have unwittingly started my migration away months ago, dropping in on Episcopal services in an old schoolhouse where many in the congregation are ex-Catholics, including the priest. They have already accepted what I am finally coming to realize. That there are other communities willing to fully embrace my brand of sinner.

Ok, so he agrees that this is a sin and yet hits the church for saying it is a sin???
No, it is obvious from the context that he means "...fully embrace my brand of 'so-called' sinner."
Having said that, I'd like to point out that he is essentially claiming that the Church must approve his "choice," as though anything that he chooses to do cannot be sinful.
In actual fact, it is especially chosen behavior that the Church proscribes.
Furthermore, according to the Church, Man is innately sinful - hence even an inborn trait, urge, or desire may be sinful (depending upon the context).
Regards,
From the article:
“I, like others, am still reeling from the news...”
How could this be a surprise to any Catholic?
“Having grown up in a devout family from the Philippines, I was educated by the Jesuits, followed by the Brothers of Christian Instruction.”
Ah-ha!
Since 1970 at least, we’ve all been victims of bad catechesis and bad homilies. But for some people, demonic delusion is more prominent.
Finding another church that allows your sin doesn’t stop it from being a sin.
Well, ‘bye, pervert.
Apparently, he is willing to choose to go to Hell for his temporary pleasure and by his article he is encouraging others to follow him in sin.
The choice is to follow the way of Jesus and not the way of the World such as a heretical protestant church.
While Jesus has Great Divine Mercy, one still needs to repent and ask for His Mercy.
I hope He finds his way back to the Catholic Church and the Sacrament of Reconciliation for his possible salvation.
Without the Sacrament of the Eucharist, he has no life.
John 6:53
He should have a chat with Milo Yiannopoulos.
The Catholic church is willing to take in murderers too, but that doesn’t mean it advocates murder.
A person with homosexual tendencies or murderous tendencies who works at it or repents of the sin is welcome to God. One who does NOT repent is not welcome
OK Jobert Abueva, don’t let the door hit you in the butt.....Bye Bye!
An atheist who’s been masquerading as a Catholic. He’ll eventually find out the the words “thou shalt not” weren’t meant as a joke.
If you look to the bible, the words of Christ, and the full message rather than a very few select passages.... The message is of love, acceptance, viewing all “sins” as equal, and understanding that man is fallible and still loved by the father!
If you still feel so inclined to judge based on individual cherry picked passengers while neglecting context then you must recognize:
1. Divorce and adultery is referenced far more! Even simply thoughts of such
2. Foods I'm sure eaten regularly are referenced as forbidden far more often.
3. We all should be condemned as perverts and sinners and unwelcome in the church. Most marriages should be disavowed!
I find that a loving, committed, and faithful homosexual marriage honors the lord far more than the abusive, adulterous, and loveless marriages dominate in today's world.
🚩Statements like yours which turn away those who interpret, feel, and love differently from you...the hate, judgment, and human declarations speaking for the Lord are by FAR more offensive and against the word of God!🚩
And for those here who complains I often about the media taking things out of context, twisting words to fit their narrative and justify their hate for the conservatives....
Funny how you fail to see yourself doing the same with the holy scripture to fit your narrative and justify your own hate.
It is the same hypocrisy and self interest but you are twisting and taking the words of the Lord out of context rather than a political figure....
Find that log man!!!
Perversion
This sentence doesn't make a lot of sense, but it doesn't look correct to me.
I find that a loving, committed, and faithful homosexual marriage honors the lord far more than the abusive, adulterous, and loveless marriages dominate in today's world.
The Lord gets to decide what "honors the lord," not you. Sorry.
Statements like yours which turn away those who interpret, feel, and love differently from you...the hate, judgment, and human declarations speaking for the Lord are by FAR more offensive and against the word of God!
You don't see the built-in contradiction when you tell us that "human declarations speaking for the Lord" are "against the word of God"? Hint: your statement is a "human declaration speaking for the Lord".
That’s the poorest excuse to leave a Church I’ve heard of.
We are to embrace the sinner and not the sin. He wants his sin embraced, normalized and blessed. This cannot be done. Of course he should be welcome into Church. But his sin is an “abomination” meaning a great sin. An intolerable sin. And not one winked at. There are sins like looking at a pretty woman and having thoughts that are sin but they can be excused by mans frailty. As long as one does nor act on those thoughts and tries to banish them in earnest. A bird may unexpectedly land on your head - excusable. Letting it build a nest on your head - inexcusable.
Well said.
Well said.
