Guest Op-Ed: 500th anniversary of the excommunication of arch-heretic, Martin Luther

This Sunday, January 3, 2021, is the 500th anniversary of the excommunication of Martin Luther as a heretic and schismatic – the greatest damage ever done to the Holy Catholic Church. He died unrepentant, without the sacraments and outside the One True Church.

Yes, Pope Leo X, who issued the excommunication decree and the previous Exsurge Domine warning (6/15/1520) to Luther, had a mixed record of papal righteousness – but in this event he is nearly unsurpassed and fairly vindicated.

In this writer's view, these documents are two of the most formidable, necessary and courageous decrees emanating from the Chair of Peter, defending the Holy Roman Catholic Church from doctrinal attack. They were subsequently, fully upheld by the Council of Trent – also one of the greatest Councils in Church history – to which we owe very much, especially on the Eucharist!

We still face great danger. With Luther, there was no warning, just 95 absurd theses appearing out of thin air.

Here today, we had a warning in 1917 at Fatima. “Russia will spread her errors throughout the world,” did Our Lady alert the three children and us Catholics.

We feel these effects today – a far more serious warning than Luther. In full deference to Our Lady and the Most Holy Trinity – it is extremely doubtful (despite assertions to the contrary) that the full, correct Consecration to Russia was done; or that the decisive 3rd Secret text was totally revealed.

The errors, it is said, will lead to “The Great Apostasy.” There seems no appetite in the Vatican, at any level, to humbly accept and remedy those grave errors. Rather, a desire to hurtle into the future with Pachamama; Amazon Culture; ecology; and global secular solutions – as moral virtue is completely ignored and vocations and faithful Catholics disappear at record speeds.

Will the Church (and our Country) continue its decline? Will we still continue to receive God’s Divine Mercy and Graces? Are we due for a severe Divine Chastisement?

I am not going to advance an opinion here – only to charitably say, we would all do well to place our own souls in a state of grace, and urge our families, friends and others to do the same.

And Pray. God is very good.

“I compare verse with verse and the evidence CLEARLY shows that Michael the Archangel is Jesus Christ. No doubt about it.”

No you prove that Michael is a created angel. Again no where is Jesus created or called Michael.

Michael is Michael, created angel

Jesus has many names to include Door, Gate, Prophet, Priest, Apostle, and many more, but He is still Jesus and didn’t take on names like oak, pine, Samuel, Phineas, or Paul when He was called those titles.

The Michael issue is not a salvation issue.

Then why all the time spent on it in the last 3 1/2 weeks?

It must mean a LOT to someone.

Like I told you BEFORE, your boy MrObisr brought it up again, trying to belittle me and the SDA church. Talk to him.

1 Thess 4:16For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise.

It is the voice of Jesus Christ that raises the dead. No created angel can do that. Jesus Christ is called the Captain of the hosts. Michael the Archangel leads the host of angels in heaven. Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, ...

The bible is very clear that Michael the Archangel is another TITLE for Jesus Christ (same for Captain of the host of angels). Your doomed cult teaches otherwise. Poor choice in my opinion.

Captain of the host leads the angels
Michael the Archangel, leads the angels

Both are TITLES for Jesus Christ.

1 Thess 4:16, is describing the announcement of the KING of kings.

Study what happens when the King comes into the room, house, or city and you will see that there is always a herald with a trumpet that announces the KINGS arrival. The announcer/trumpeter is the Michael the archangel.

The Bible is very clear that just as and angel announced Jesus the Baby’s arrival, Luke 2:9, John the Baptist announced Jesus as the Lamb of GOD, John 1:29, Michael will announce the KING of Kings when He returns the second time in absolute triumph, 1 Thess 4:16.

Notice Phil three times Baby Jesus, humble servant Jesus, Triumph KING Jesus.

ALL three times JESUS had a created being/servant announce HIS arrival!

I brought it up again... ok, but bottom line I don’t have to belittle you or your sda cult, the Word of GOD and common sense does that for me.

2. Making the sign of the cross ……………………… …300 A.D.

Wasn’t the so called “sign of the cross,” originally the sign of T, for Tammuz, the son of Nimrod, a great idolatrous unbeliever? Hence, the pagan influence.

“What God has forbidden is the necromantic practice of conjuring up spirits.”

Here here. Trying to contact the spirits of the dead, or praying to them, in this case, is NECROMANCY. It is FORBIDDEN.
Some may ask, don’t you ask others to pray for you? Absolutely, but NONE of them are dead. Then again, for those who ask the dead to pray for them, how do they know, the ones they are asking to pray for them, are actually in Heaven? Many might actually be in the fires of Hades. Does anyone think, those suffering in the fires of Hell, can actually hear them? I think not. But then again, the spirits of those in Heaven, can’t hear them either. 🤗

and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

That’s pretty scary for them, but they earned it. 🤪 Followers of false, spurious religions, will also have their place in the fires. 🔥

That’s weird bro. When I was a catholic, maybe while I was in grade school, we, as a family, used to say the rosary, almost every night, for several years. Then, we stopped, though I don’t remember why. I didn’t feel the slightest bit more spiritual, than if we never prayed the rosary in the first place. It is cultish. I don’t pray to dead 💀 people anymore. That’s necromancy.

The sign of the cross — is that the thing people do across their chests with their hands after they pray? I always wondered about that.

Read that catholic Bible that you claim to cling to and you will be just like old Luther and realize that the whore of rome is in complete apostasy.

That’s what I did, when I was a catholic. I started reading our catholic family Bible, and I left the Catholic Church. 😁 Now, I will avoid this. 🔥

Yes, that’s it. When I was a catholic, we started and ended our “prayers” with it. I believe the sign of the cross, started with Tammuz, the son of Nimrod and Semiramis. It was the sign of the T, for Tammuz, later, used as the sign of the cross. It was part of the false religion of Nimrod. I always wondered who killed Nimrod? Shem, maybe? I do not know.
See you all at the pre trib rapture. 👍

“for those who ask the dead to pray for them, how do they know, the ones they are asking to pray for them, are actually in Heaven?”

Even if they were/are in Heaven, they still can’t help you, and most likely can’t even hear you. God would protect them from hearing you. Not one teeny tiny thing in the Bible would lead someone to believe the dead in Heaven can hear you. And the dead in hell ... sheesh ... not even rational.

At one time, early on when this was invented, did people have to pay money to request the dead to help them, or pray for them? I don’t know ... It seems that many of the rituals began as revenue-generating plans.

There’ll be no sorrow in Heaven, and if earthlings were to shove their trials and problems on to deceased family and friends, it would cause sorrow. It would just be mean.

“there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.” Rev. 22:14

And who would say, “I’m going to skip over God — who’s GOD — and pray to someone lesser”? It makes no sense.
