A podcaster and Bible teacher recently exhorted Christians to be aware of the occultic spiritual practices of Black Lives Matter (BLM) and to practice discernment instead of linking arms with the organization.
When the apostle Paul said that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness, this is what he was talking about, said Abraham Hamilton II during his Aug. 19 Hamilton Corner broadcast entitled The BLM Connection to Witchcraft.
He played segments of a Zoom discussion between BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors and Los Angeles chapter co-founder Melina Abdullah to provide evidence of the groups communication with the dead in their very own words.
Maybe Im sharing too much, but we become very intimate with the spirits that we call on regularly, Abdullah said at one point during the interview. Each of them seems to have a different presence and personality. I laugh a lot with Waukesha [Wilson] (who was found dead in a Los Angeles jail cell in 2017). And I didnt meet her in her body, right, I met her through this work.
Hamilton also noted that Cullors and Abdullah talked about summoning the spirits of the dead to work though them and accomplish their purposes, a practice in the Yoruba religion Odu Ifa.
Hashtags are for us way more than a hashtag, Cullors said. It is literally almost resurrecting the spirit so they can work through us to get the work done. I started to feel personally connected and responsible and accountable to them both from a deeply political place, but also from a deeply spiritual place.
In my tradition, you offer things that your loved one who passed away would want, whether its honey or tobacco or things like that, she continued, referring to the creation of an ancestor altar, which is sometimes practiced in African cultures. Its so important, not just for us to be in direct relationship to our people whove passed but also for them to know weve remembered them. I believe so many of them work through us.
Adullah talked about pouring out libation at the place where the African American person lost their life. Libation is an act that is defined as a ritual pouring of a liquid as an offering to a god or spirit, or in memory of those who have passed on.
In case you dont know it yet, theyre not talking about the Holy Spirit. Theyre talking about channeling the powers of the ancestors, that it is the spirituality that enables them and empowers them to do this justice work,' Hamilton outlined.
He said that, consequently, the burgeoning say their name practice may not be as innocent as some think.
Theyre not doing what you think theyre doing. You think theyre just honoring people. They are conjuring up spirits, Hamilton lamented. These people really believe that the names of the folks that theyre saying have become ancestral gods that they are summoning when they require the attendees at these marches and these rallies to say their name.
He pointed to Deuteronomy 18:9-12, which prohibits communication with the dead.
When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord, the Scripture states.
We have churches that are putting up BLM banners in their churches. And Im saying, Lord, wheres the discernment?' he lamented. We have got to evaluate everything through the word of God.
Hamilton said that while racism may be an issue that needs to be addressed, the ways of BLM are not the righteous means to accomplish it. None of this is to say that there arent situations that exist where we need to grow in our demonstration and in our internalization of our love for our neighbors, he stated. But we dont need to adopt some pagan spirituality Marxist organizational rhetoric to do it. We dont need wicked help to obey God.
As previously reported, an article published by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs explained that The Fight for Black Lives Is a Spiritual Movement.
The movement for Black lives
infuses a syncretic blend of African and indigenous cultures spiritual practices and beliefs, embracing ancestor worship; Ifa-based ritual such as chanting, dancing, and summoning deities; and healing practices such as acupuncture, reiki, therapeutic massage, and plant medicine in much of its work, including protest, the article states in part.
Republicanine?
I have no words enough for my gratitude.
lol...what?
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things yet unseen.”
Brush up on your spiritual warfare friend. And save your rebukes for the kingdom of hell
You actually believe in ‘witchcraft and curses’?
I am very familiar with occult practices.
I was not always a Christian but was delivered.
Being delivered from evil does not mean you forget what you once knew.
In fact, it gives you a unique ability to spot it for what it is and then expose it to those who may not see it, in all its subtleties.
There are those who practice these things, believing that ~they~ have “powers” when in reality, they are in league with demons and the devil, who assist them with their evil “prayers”.
Yes, it is as real as the powers of angels.
I also am praying for you.
May The Lord be with you in your time of need and provide His Grace, Mercy, Love, & Peace beyond all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
In Jesus’s Holy Name I pray, amen.
That left leg doesn’t have long for this world.
Amen, and thank you and God bless you!
If you don’t then the joke is on you.
That evil realm is more real than you could ever imagine.
When the apostle Paul said that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness, this is what he was talking about, said Abraham Hamilton II during his Aug. 19 Hamilton Corner broadcast entitled The BLM Connection to Witchcraft.
And as Christ exhorts us to “pray for your enemies, and those who wickedly curse you”... let us “win” this battle by sincerely asking for the deliverance of these who would dare to invoke Satan's power against God's Son or the Body of Christ.
For "the heathen are our inheritance" along with the Lord, who laughs in derision at these Satanic "kings and rulers" these elitist plotters, who think that they can overthrow the Lord's ordinances and righteous foundations. They cannot; they will not.
The battle is the Lord's; His victory is already won:
Psalm 2
The Triumphant Messiah
(Acts 4:23-31)
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Well, I don’t believe in ‘demons and devil’. (I think the key word in your post is ‘believe’.)
I don’t allow any power in my own ‘belief’ for idiots who ‘believe’ they are summoning ‘demons’. At best, they are laughably deluded; at worst, insane.
I once had a friend try a reiki healing on me because she noticed I was suffering. She did her thing, and God healed me, so I told her and thanked her for helping me. She said it wasnt supposed to work that way, that what she had in mind was selling a service over a period of time. God had other plans, and healed me before any such subject could be broached.
I doubt there are many Christians who have not felt moved to flee, especially as this drags on. God also has a sense of humor though, Im thinking I Samuel 5. The Unitarian Church definitely has an unconsecrated ground feel to it, so Im not sure how that is going to shake out.
Well, none of them have ever bothered me.
I’m sorry that you appear to be acquainted with them - or with what you believe is ‘them’.
Aside from the obvious, there's something peculiar about this whole thing; as "trained Marxists," these fine people ostensibly believe in Dialectical Materialism. This means they don't allow for the existence of God, the supernatural, angels, or any other types of spirit; yet here they are worshiping demons! That's like mixing apples and orcas. What gives?
Just being around them is enough to create massive damage to your life. Or as they would put it ‘negative’ vibes/energy.
Just like there are laws of nature & laws of justice, there are also spiritual laws. Once you “invite” demons/witchcraft/occult into your life, you can’t just disinvite it. That stuff will follow you everywhere you go because you opened a doorway.
I’d rather play with a blowtorch at a gas-station than these things.
Seems to me that real power just lies in ignoring it all.
‘What is that to thee?’
The obsession that some people seem to have with fearing this stuff seems just as damaging as involvement with it does.
Jesus can cast it out of you but you never forget the darkness in which you once stood, after seeing the light.
The natural magic, transactional stuff with the offerings, from what I have seen that is bad news which seems to shorten the lives of practitioners.
