That’s a terrific verse. Yes, humanity has been warned of what’s coming for thousands of years. All the messages of obedience, perseverance, and persecution have been lost to fables and delusion. Satan will take many people with him for sure. The pre trib rapture theory is one of Satan’s greatest deceptions because it “lulls” Christians into a false sense of security (no need to know who the Antichrist is or what the Mark of the Beast is). They will not be prepared when the end comes.
That is a high possibility.
He is referred to as “The Assyrian” about half a dozen times in Scripture (maybe more).
That could mean ancestry, but living in Europe or it could mean a lot of other things.
I’ve always believed he is some demonic hybrid (Alien?) because in Revelation 19:20 he and the false prophet are the only ones who are ever tossed straight into the Lake of Fire directly. No White Throne Judgement, no hades, just immediate judgement into the Lake of fire.
That’s an interesting fact to study on.
I’ll ask again:
Can ANY pre trib rapturist tell me who the Antichrist is according to bible prophecy?
It will rise to be a great power after the fall of the pagan Roman Empire (after 476 AD)
It would uproot three of the ten kingdoms the Roman Empire collapsed into
It will be a geographically small nation (a little horn)
It will rule over many people, nations and tongues (it will be universal)
It will be headquartered in the city of seven hills, Rome
It will be a religio-political entity - a political city-state ruled by a priest-king
Its priest-king will make great and blasphemous claims
It will claim authority over all kings
It will claim its power to change the holy times and laws of God as its mark of authority
It will be an apostate Church that makes the nations drink her cup of apostate doctrine
It will be a “mother” Church, with apostate daughters coming from her
It will be a persecuting power, killing the faithful saints of Jesus Christ as heretics
It will hold power and authority for 1260 years following the fall of pagan Rome
It will suffer a deadly wound that will end 1260 years of dominance and persecution
It will be revived after the deadly wound, and all the world would wonder at its revival
Who could possibly fit every criteria described in bible prophecy?
NO TAKEN, NO CHOP, NO DENYING THE ANTICHRIST IS ALREADY HERE, NO PRE TRIB RAPTURE, NO DICE

Luckily for you guys you have no need to know anything about the Mark of the Beast or the Antichrist. I'm very happy for all of you in your ignorant bliss.

Thanks for the link. Skimming through it, it seems very interesting. I have not had the time to properly research the topics covered, but I have bookmarked it and intend to explore it further as soon as I get the opportunity.
Oh. I meant to add that at first glance the immediate problem that I see with the 1260 years of the Roman empire/Catholic church abuses is that this would seem to be something the apostles were unfamiliar with. But I don’t want to dismiss it out of hand. Perhaps you have a thought on that specific issue.
I doubt the Apostles knew anything about who the Antichrist, the Man of Sin, the Little Horn, was, including the 1260 years of persecution. Neither did Daniel. The reason is that it hadn’t happened yet. It’s all coded prophecy and events simply had not transpired. The book of Daniel was shut until the end (which is now). Paul did know the Antichrist came from the Body of Christ initially (Son of Perdition, ravenous wolves entering the flock, etc....) and would betray just like Judas did. Later, all the Protestant reformers knew exactly who the Antichrist was after comparing scripture and history.

They compared Daniel with Revelation, just like I did, and came up with their answers. History and wisdom help open the books of Daniel and Revelation. I highly recommend the following link (Antichrist, Mark of the Beast, etc...)

it’s 1260 days or 3.5 years or 42 months. This is the time period in the apocalyptic vision of John of Patmos. And that was the time of the Jewish-Roman war of 67 to 70 AD that ended with the destruction of the Jewish world, the destruction of the temple, the end of the world for the Jews and the branch of Judaism - the Jesus-movement to be the new Jerusalem, with the new temple, Jesus in its midst
