The law was not put into effect to save us. It was put into effect to lead us to Christ so that HE could save us. It’s intent was to show us that not one of us could meet God’s standard for sinless perfection.
All it takes is one sin to condemn us to death. Even if you lived an otherwise perfect and perfectly sinless life except for that one sin, you would still go to hell as assuredly as any God hating atheist, mass murderer, or whomever.
