....The vast majority of popular churches teach that believers will be called up to Heaven before the tribulation. Simply stated, the Bible does not support this claim.
...
In many scriptures of the Bible, there is a falling away or discussion of great deceptions that are coming to the world. It has been hard for believers in Christ to comprehend the possibility of the masses falling away from Christianity because faith has been a powerful part of society for nearly two millenniums, but we are seeing it today. Moreover, we are seeing the spreading of a seed that will cause further apostasy among believers in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior: the myth of a pre-tribulation rapture.
The not-so-simple answer is that Satan is pushing this as part of his agenda. It is Satan that rules the earth. His goal is to pull as many people away from the faith as possible, which is why he and his minions began deceiving Christians at their core starting in the early 19th century with the doctrine of a pre-tribulation rapture. He has brought about and continues to bring about waves of deceptions to pull people away from even considering the Word of the Bible, but this particular deception is to attack those who are wanting to be strong in their faith. Its designed to shake the spirits of the believers to the point of non-belief.
Think about it. If you make people believe that they are not going to face suffering, that they are special and will avoid all of the troubles that will engulf the world, then they are weakened as a result.

Your conclusions are based on your (or someone else's) misinterpretation of the relevant scriptures.
if you think the biggest threat to christianity is the rapture please leave the computer open your eyes and get some fresh air. Rampant apostasy is the biggest threat
you misspelled "Rome"
I became a member there about a year ago. I post from time to time. The facebook page, that is.
I became a member of rethinking hell (the website) about two or so years ago.
The Rapture is a Body of Velievers thang; your denial doesn’t prevent GOD dealing with the Jews during the time of Jacob’s Troubles, the Tribulation period. The SECOND COMING of MESSIAH to the earth, to settle up sin in Israel, is a reality. You are perhaps confusing GOD removing The Body of Christ before GOD pors out His wrath, with the return of MESSIAH at the end of the Tribulation period.
“The biggest threat to Christians .....?”
* * * * * * * * * * * *
SERIOUSLY - the biggest threat is that our children and family don’t walk with Christ during our brief time on earth. Christians are already secure in Christ for all eternity.
“...biggest threat ...” - I don’t think the writer has spent very much time reading the Scriptures.
Protestantism. :-)
Just my thoughts, Im likely wrong.
But the more I study the bible and its roots, and pray, the less ECT matches the personality of our Creator. It simply doesn’t fit. eternal erasure fits perfectly.
That old chestnut?
You know that they rejected the belief in a pretribulation Rapture and the radical distinction between an earthly and a heavenly people of God; such beliefs didnt come about until many centuries later. The early Church Fathers, whether premillennialist or otherwise, believed that the Church was the New Jerusalem
Clement of Rome was bishop when the signs of the Olivet Discourse were being fulfilled (67-73 AD). he wrote that Peter and Paul had been martyred, but not before they “taught righteousness to the WHOLE WORLD, and they came to the extreme limit of the west”
Justin Martyr in FA, XXXIX wrote that “from Jerusalem there went out into the world, men, twelve in number, and these illiterate, of no ability in speaking; but by the power of God THEY PROCLAIMED TO EVERY RACE OF MEN”
You are mistaken, it was not well said for it was void of the Truth found in scriptures. Not surprisingly, you are both Roman Catholics. That religion denies a lot of things found in The Word of God.
My church teaches maybe, hopefully pre-trib, but be prepared to go through it all.
If I'm saved and my belief of the Rapture or Baptism (another one), or speaking in tongues, or whatever .....
If I'm saved, when this old heart stops beating here, a new one beats there and I will no longer care.
I don't believe my first wife is looking down and caring about me, I don't believe any of a large number of people gone before me are even paying attention to earthly matters ...... THAT'S JESUS' JOB.
WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED
WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH UNTO RIGHTEOUSNES BUT WITH THE MOUTH, CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION.
justin Martyr - just taking one - wrote in ACR XXXIX that he believed the peace promises of Daniel were a present reality for him in the 2nd century.
He was not pre-millenial.
his baisc view is definitely what we would call amillenial because he clearly believed the Kingdom had come in the form of the Church
Paul’s view is not pre-trib rap
that's in the pre-Trib rap false, non-Christian, non-biblical belief system
Sorry D rider, but I don’t think you’ve read Tertullian or justin Marytyr or any of hte others - they were definitely not pre-Trib raps
re: “The biggest threat to Christians is the teaching of a pre-tribulation rapture”
Not if you’re Catholic.
Nope, yons a non-Biblical belief made up in the 19th century
