See my Post #19 - many people will disagree with you - people with experience, medical and science backgrounds.

I’m sorry, but they overwhelmingly are wrong. Their beliefs are false and based on pseudo-science, medical quackery and fringe conspiracy theories. Their numbers are irrelevant. More people probably believe the world is flat and the moonshot was faked. That does not make it so.

Am I to understand you believe it’s acceptable for a government mandate on vaccines?

All you have to do is watch a girl with a brace walking to school. Polio was real in my youth. We worked hard every year soliciting for the March of Dimes. It helped.

And even when grown....one of my clients was using a walker. He told me he missed the polio vaccine by 6 months.

I think the biggest complaint now is doing combo shots.

Having communities of unvaccinated people is extremely dangerous. It creates a reservoir for the disease to continue to grow and mutate. It increases the likelihood the virus will mutate beyond the effectiveness of the vaccine. Also, vaccines are not 100% effective. Large numbers of vaccinated individuals are still at risk. I know, for example, the MMR vaccine does not create measles resistance in me, and about 30% of others as well.

When everyone gets vaccinated, it eliminates these reservoirs. It’s how we got rid of smallpox.

This has nothing to do with the Amish interpretation of the Bible, or the Hasidic Jews with their view of the Torah and Talmud, or Christian Scientists with their reading of the works of Mary Baker Eddy, or any other spiritual writing. The question, rather, should be limits on the power of government, local, State, or Federal.

If immunization presents a specific disease, then if the vaccinated are exposed to unvaccinated , they won't be affected by the disease. Mainstream medicine and science has been wrong in the past, e.g. the food pyramid and the relative harmlessness of cigarettes. The bottom line is that the opinion of mainstream medicine is no more "settled science than is man made climate change. Parents, and not government, have the responsibility to make decisions on their children. It does not take a village, it takes a family.

There is no real science anywhere that supports the anti vaxers.

Actually there is evidence. A lot of evidence. Google SP40 and vaccine. Some monkey kidneys were used for the vaccine. You don't want that in your body. SP40 now shows up in some cancers. Don't expect to read about it in the NYTimes or WaPo.

From your link it says, "1 microgramme, around 15% of the average daily mercury intake in the US for adults and 2.5% of the daily level considered tolerable"

That is oral intact not injections. Should I explain the difference?

says"Currently there is no accepted scientific evidence that exposure to thiomersal is a factor in causing autism"

This is true. What they don't track are those that get autism get sick with the flu or other common aliment shortly after a taking the shot. The person then gets better then takes another shot and gets sick again. The second and third time is the pattern that is most comon for people with autism.

The question should be why are these kids getting sick with common ailments after taking these shots?

Any one who is immunocompromised by age or illness may have lower levels of immunity even when vaccinated.

People receiving chemotherapy are at risk.

Most infants under two are not fully vaccinated and are at risk.

Some people have allergies to some vaccines and will not be fully vaccinated.

People who have received organ transplants and take anti-rejection medications have lowered immune responses and their prior vaccinations may become ineffective as a result. They are at risk.

These small unique subsets of humanity are protected by the herd immunity developed by the vaccination of the healthy that prevent outbreaks and reduce their risk of exposure. This is also the same population that is at risk of death or serious debilitation in an actual outbreak.

Vaccinations protect the young, the sick and the old.

So it is perfectly acceptable in a free country to force people to have their infants injected with metals and other neurotoxins, putting their brains at permanent risk?

If vaccinations were actually immunizations, the vaccinated would have no problem with the unvaccinated.

correction:
That is oral intake. Which should not be confused with injections

And it also needs to be remembered that there are people who for medical reasons cannot be vaccinated. Those people are placed in extreme risk.

People with delicate medical conditions could be at risk going to a restaurant or school, exposed to anything. So their families need to limit their exposure to such outings.

If you think everyone should inject neurotoxic 1950s concoctions into their bloodstreams in order to protect a few immune deficient patients, THEN SURELY YOU AGREE THAT ALL RESTROOMS SHOULD BE DESIGNED FOR THE 0.01% OF THE POPULATION THAT IS TRANSGENDER.

It isn’t science that is wrong. It’s the government decreeing and getting stuff wrong.

The real question is does vaccines lower peoples immunity?

My understanding is that for people who are older or have not strong immune systems are at risk even if they were vaccinated as a child. This past spring I got the MMR vaccine just as a precaution. The pharmacist says I’m covered for life.

I also think with all the unvaccinated people streaming into the country with God knows what strains of diseases.....it becomes really scary.

Well, all the people who ARE vaccinated are not in danger then, are they?

So by not getting vaccinated themselves, they are not endangering any other.

Your nanny statism is not very FR worthy.

You don’t know how the immune system works, do you?

The short answer is no.

The long answer is vaccines do not suppress immunity, they heighten it by training the immune system to recognize and react to the specific pathogen thus reducing response time and preventing the pathogen from getting a toehold and causing the disease.

"No one has a right, religious or otherwise, to directly endanger the safety of others."

Baloney! Hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens have caused massive outbreaks of diseases that have not been a problem in this country for many, many decades... Apparently these migrant invaders have been given the right to endanger the safety of American citizens...and nothing is done about it...

What’s wrong? Don’t trust your new found god? I thought the God of the Bible, the God that watched over our forefathers said he would protect His people from sickness and disease. Some people deserve totalitarian governments because when push comes to shove, that is where their faith lies.
