They must be building snowmen in the hot stinky bad place because I'm siding with the Soviet Socialist State of New York on this one. No one has a right, religious or otherwise, to directly endanger the safety of others.

Wait until the Democrats decide that being a Conservative or Republican directly endangers the safety of others.

Straw man argument. Political affiliation is not ipso facto a threat to public safety. Deliberately not getting vaccinated for a wide range of serious diseases, is.

I admit that I'm pretty ignorant about this whole issue, but one thing always baffled me about it: If you and your own children are vaccinated against a disease, what difference does it make if someone else is not?

I mean: How is the public at large harmed if the Amish (or a Hasidic community, etc.) decide not to vaccinate their families? Isn't this something where the risk is entirely contained within the non-vaccinated groups?

You must be delusional. Having a choice to do what parents feel is best for their children is American, freedom, and God inspired. Forcing everyone to receive government mandated injections by the same group lobbying for population control is insane.

It poses a threat to other people who are not vaccinated. If you have an entire community unvaccinated then you are setting up the conditions for an epidemic. And it also needs to be remembered that there are people who for medical reasons cannot be vaccinated. Those people are placed in extreme risk.

If everyone else is vaccinated from the diseases, what's the chance of your kid getting whatever disease they're complaining about and who are they going to pass it on to?

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. #;^)

I find that most definitive, rather than IMHO Posts on FR invite contrarian responses, kidding around or not.

Carry on my FRiend.

Sorry but if your reading of Holy Writ has lead you to believe you have a God Given right to endanger other people, including your own children, then you are misreading the Book. You are confusing liberty with anarchism.

Many vaccines cause damage to the brain. Keeps people from thinking for themselves. Makes them easier to manipulate.

As evidenced on this thread...

“If you and your own children are vaccinated against a disease, what difference does it make if someone else is not?”

It still makes a lot of difference to the society as a whole.

“herd protection”

Some people can not take the vaccine because of allergies. The injection of the vaccine presents serious medical problems to them. They exist and it is a very real problem for them.

If all others around them who can be inoculated are protected then the chance of the decease getting to them is very slight. They are literally protected by the immunity of the “herd” around them.

What I see here is wives tales and intentional scientific ignorance.

No vaccine is 100% effective. There will always be some people who don’t develop immunity. Also there are some people who can’t take vaccines for valid medical reasons.

This is an unproven wives tale and intentional scientific ignorance.

There is no real science anywhere that supports the anti vaxers.

Perhaps this will help clear up some confusion about the safety of vaccines. These people going to the rally can’t ALL be wrong. There is significant injury from vaccines that has been covered up and ignored for far too long. People don’t refuse to vaccinate their children for the fun of it - there are reasons.

https://thevaccinereaction.org/2019/11/nov-14-rally-in-dc-to-raise-awareness-about-americas-vaccine-injury-epidemic/

On Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019 from 10 am to 4 pm, there will be a gathering of families with vaccine injured children, doctors, lawmakers and civil and human rights activists at a rally on the National Mall in Washington, DC to raise awareness about the vaccine injury epidemic and honoring those who have been harmed. The Vaccine Injury Epidemic (VIE) rally is being organized by Crazymothers, a non-profit organization, and held on the 33rd anniversary of the enactment of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 to highlight the “current epidemic of chronic health conditions, injuries and deaths from vaccination.”
