FATHER, first and foremost: Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable. . . Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. . . One generation will commend Your works to the next, and will proclaim Your mighty acts. Forgive us FATHER, for neglecting as a Nation, to proclaim to the world and to thank you for Your Mighty acts of Providence, Grace, Mercy, Kindness, and Protection. Especially as the season of debates and campaigning begins for this next Election. We see already the seeds of pride and the roots of bitterness overtaking our Nation and choking out the life that was given to it from its foundation. Oh God, could You lift up those who will find in their heart to run for any office, men of humble means, who know what it is required of them: To act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with their God.
We pray for our Dear President. Oh GOD, the battle is the LORD’s. He fights so many a foe. It has to be so hard to stay humble and dependent upon YOU, without wanting to revile and retaliate against them. We pray, Dear LORD, that as he prepares himself for this next round of campaigning, he will remember that it is the LORD GOD who gives power and wealth, in order to confirm HIS Promises and Covenants. May he gain strength from this knowledge, and not from excessive pressures to prove himself.
We pray Dear LORD, for our people. We all join in the fight, and many look to our leaders as the final answer for the woes which we are dealing with. LORD, we have all veered off the good path into the gutters of worry, stress, anxiety, anger, frustration, hatred, fear and at times hopelessness. And maybe it all began because as a people, we have forfeited and forgotten to PROCLAIM YOUR MIGHTY ACTS AND COMMEND YOUR WORKS TO THE NEXT GENERATION. OH GOD, please, it is here we pray for a revival of PRAISE ~ HIGH PRAISE ~ within our families and our churches, spreading into every other area of civil life.
LORD, we pray that our Nation as a whole, our families as a unit, as servants of Christ, will remember HIS greatness displayed in the most sublime manner: PERFECT HUMILITY. We Honor Him as both Savior and LORD, for HE alone is WORTHY of all HONOR AND GLORY AND PRAISE. Amen

AMEN! What an insightful prayer. Totally agreeing with you for an increase in praise to the only One who is worthy. Even our Godly leaders are a gift from Him.
