Rich Cause Climate Change, Poor Pay For It: Vatican Official

Fr Joshtrom Kureethadam said “we need to care for creation because poor people are all being affected by [changes in climate]”.

“And it is really Catholic tradition, Christian tradition, that in the poor we see Christ. Matthew 25:35 onwards [says]: I was hungry, I was naked, I was in prison, I was a foreigner and you welcomed me,” he said.

Fr Kureethadam has been coordinator of the “ecology and creation” sector at the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development since 2017. He is a university professor and the author of multiple books on creation and theology.

He said that in the West, the effects of climate change are not really noticed, and might just bring something like a flood or hurricane once in a while, while in other places the effects are already very grave.

“We don’t really understand climate change because we don’t live with it. But for the majority of people it’s already a reality,” he explained.

“If we really love our neighbour – the second of the two great commandments: love God with all your heart and your neighbour as yourself – we have to be concerned about this.”

He said another reason Catholics should pay attention to climate change is because it is a question of justice.

Ok, hope you don’t mind if we tax your Church to pay for it.

And how rich is the Vatican? Give me a number sir. I’ll remember not to have desert tonight—as I never do. How rich.... fools on parade. Your goal should be bringing lost souls to Christ, not “saving” the planet under the false premise of something you know nothing about.

I’m with you.

Make these left-wing moonbats put their money with their big mouths are.

Make the church pay real estate taxes on all their properties in the U.S. They need to have skin in the game.

Stop incense, turn off lights in church, silence the organ, quench the candles.

Wouldn’t it be more effective for the enviro-Catholics to cut out the middleman and pray directly to Gaia?

Francis is changing the Catholic Church from being a Christian faith into being his own personal left-wing political party.

God’s nature causes climate change. We couldn’t affect it more than marginally even if we went extinct.

Particularly in this country. Here the poor suffer from the diseases of obesity not malnutrition!

“Here the poor suffer from the diseases of obesity not malnutrition!”

OR,maybe—Here the poor suffer from the diseases of ignorance and lack of self control, not malnutrition!

Remember kids... we are at about 405ppm CO2 concentration. It is rising 1.6 per year.

During the Cretaceous Era, it was over 7000ppm... and plant and animal life thrived.

Further, ALL modern plant, crop, and tree species maximize growth and photosynthesis rates between 750 and 1400ppm. This can be proven by any HS science class. (Take a species of plant, and put it in 6 aquariums with different CO2 concentrations. See which is best. Duh. Since CO2 "will kill us all in 11.7 years", one would think that some classes would actually try to teach more about the evil evil evil gas... that helps plants thrive...)

And since it is so simple, and so vital, many have done such experiments.
https://bmcplantbiol.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12870-018-1243-3

They even start with the PC-speak:
"It is widely evident that global atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration has dramatically increased since the nineteenth century industrial revolution, elevating by about 1.6 ppm/yr during the past five decades [1, 2]. According to the most recent report released by the Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 2013), global atmospheric CO2 levels have increased from the pre-industrial level of 280 ppm to the present level of nearly 410 ppm and the growth rate of CO2 concentration is projected to be accelerated with an unprecedented pace of ∼1.0 ppm/yr. [2,3,4]. Moreover, the global atmospheric CO2 concentration may even reach 1000 ppm by the end of this century and nearly 2000 ppm by the end of the next century if no effective control measures are implemented [4]. This elevated global atmospheric CO2 concentration may not only cause climate warming, but also cause profound impacts on the net primary productivity of agricultural and natural ecosystems [5,6,7,8,9]."

But then... the actual results...
"We found very strong CO2 fertilization effects on the aboveground and total biomass of the three species. The optimal CO2 levels for the aboveground biomass were 945, 915, and 1151 ppm, and for the total biomass were 915, 1178, and 1386 ppm for tall fescue, perennial ryegrass, and Kentucky bluegrass, respectively."

So we only have about 2 centuries until we are facing the horrors of optimal CO2 levels for all plant life... and the Left wants to avoid this nightmare at all costs!!!
