where in Scripture do i find this delegation to Mary?
Per what Luke wrote,
48For He has had regard for the humble state of His bondslave; For behold, from this time on all generations will count me blessed.
Luke 1:48 NASB
Nothing more, nothing less.
Something is either true or it is false.
Scripture either says something or it does not.
If it isn't found in Scripture, but it is presented as true, it is right to ask on what basis it would be true.
And Mary is called "blessed" everywhere as was foretold.
But she has been made into a demigoddess, which is false.
What appears to you is just your imagination. You don't speak for me.
How? Easy. SHE WAS FULL OF GRACE BECAUSE JESUS WAS INCARNATE IN HER.
"BIBLE! We don't need no bible!!"
- Catholic Dude
Mary was a sinner - she said she needed a Savior.
Mary was a virgin until after Christ was born. They waited.
The rest, I've never seen on the Religion forum in the past 20 years.
Post some links please.
Close but no cigar. first of all I have not said most of those things so you are addressing the wrong person
The two I agree with and are is scripture: Mary did not remain a virgin after Jesus. His siblings are named in Scripture. And she was not sinless. She calls Christ her savior. A sinless woman has no need of a savior.
Exactly. The RCC teaches that the Church the Body of Christ is composed of 1. Christ is the head. 2. We are the Body, 3. Mary is the throat that connects the Head to the Body.
Tell me with a straight face AND Scripture where that belief came from.
Words mean SOMETHING
Not
No. The vulgate translation is not correct.
Luke 1:28 is more properly rendered, "28And coming in, he said to her, Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you."
The NABRE renders the passage as: 28 And coming to her, he said, Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.
The NRSV renders the passage as:
28 And he came to her and said, Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.[a]
The Greek word used here does not connatate sinlessness.
No where in Scripture is Mary, or any other created being, ever accorded being sinless. Only Christ is.
That isn’t what they’re saying.
Greek paganism.
Show me where I am wrong. I stated: ""Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
If praying to Mary is the way to heaven, then why did Jesus have to die on the cross?
Show me where, in the Bible, we are to pray "through" her to get God's attention. Go ahead. I'll wait."
With what do you disagree? Prove me wrong. I suspect you may be a brother or sister in Christ, but if you're going to through accusations around, have the spiritual and intellectual grace to back it up. Refute me/correct me. I have not shaken the dust from my sandals in regard to you. Are you so hard of heart that you have no regard for a fellow Christian?
Hey, better talk to Catholic Dude. He said it.
Here we go with Scripture contradicting Catholic stuff....again.
Hey, Elsie....got any artwork tonight?
*snerk*
What was/were Mary's sin(s)?
If you can't name them, why defame the Mother of God?
I call that hatred. Thanks again for proving the article's point. You've been a great help.
The contradictions are crystal clear.
