And she was not sinless.

What was/were Mary's sin(s)?

If you can't name them, why defame the Mother of God?

I call that hatred. Thanks again for proving the article's point. You've been a great help.

An ineffective and ill reasoned argument.

Romans 3:23 says all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

That in itself is sufficient as the Greek structure of this verse applies to every created being.

But let's use some of your ECFs which Roman Catholics rely upon so much.

 Irenaeus (130-202) suggests Mary had “untimely haste” at the wedding of Cana.

 Origen (184-253), “although he ascribed to Mary high spiritual prerogatives, thought that, at the time of Christ's passion, the sword of disbelief pierced Mary's soul; that she was struck by the poniard of doubt; and that for her sins also Christ died.” Origen is recognized as a Church Father.

 In the same manner St. Basil (330-379) believes Mary had doubt. Basil is recognized as a Doctor of the Church; sometimes known as the “revealer of heavenly mysteries.”

 St. Chrysostom (349-407) “accuses her of ambition, and of putting herself forward unduly when she sought to speak to Jesus at Capernaum.” Chrysostom is recognized as a Doctor of the Church.

Now run on back to the caucus threads...these public forums are way to much for you.

I do not need to name her sins. Scripture tells us she called God her Savior. A sinless ring has no need of a savior. Mary and Joseph also made the appropriate temple offering for her purification after Christ’s birth. there would be o need for that for a sinless being

But how like a liberal you are. You call anyone who disagrees with you a hater. I dont hate anyone, even you ebb. In fact I have prayed for you many times. To Jesus. Who can actually hear prayers and act.

You do not seem to know the OT very well. That's ALL she had to go by; so...

Luke 2:22-24

When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord  (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord”),  and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: “a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”

Leviticus 12:7-8

Then he shall offer it before the LORD and make atonement for her, and she shall be cleansed from the flow of her blood. This is the law for her who bears a child, whether a male or a female.
'But if she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, the one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she will be clean.'"

So; we are left with a choice: Mary WAS a sinner (she sure ACTED like one) or else she was a hypocrit.

You rag on your pope all the time; but still you cannot keep from continuing to use a phrase that is NOWHERE found in the Book that Rome gave the world.

Worry.

Luke 2:48

If you can't name them, why defame the Mother of God?

God doesn't have a mother.

He's eternal with no beginning and no ending.

I call that hatred.

You are entitled to your opinion even when you are wrong.

Again, who are the posters you claim are guilt of "nothing but contempt and indifference for our Blessed Lady?" If you can't name them, why defame yourself?
