What Is Better, Catholic or Protestant? Francis: Both of Them Together
The Youth Pastoral Office of Magdeburg diocese, Germany, will organize an October 2020 ecumenical pilgrimage for young people to Rome.
The motto of the journey is With Luther to the Pope. A similar trip was already taken in 2016.
The pilgrimage is co-organized by the regional Protestant State church, although the Protestants repudiate pilgrimages.
On the trip's webpage Mit-Luther-zum-Papst.de, the tour operator, Hans Höffmann, remembers what Pope Francis said to the participants of the 2016 pilgrimage when asked by a youngster: "What is better, Catholic or Protestant? Francis answered in German: "Both of them together!
Martin Luther attended school in Magdeburg as a boy. As a preacher, he led the city to defect from the Church. Magdeburg became the first major city to publish Luthers writings.

Can you develop a taste for the pretend flesh and blood of the Risen Lord? You’re on your way to that Roman Catholic Religion then!

Pride of self effort is at the heart of most of Catholicism. If your self pride is that strong, you would be right at home in Mrs Don-o’s Catholicism teaching. .... But don’t take the MArk of the Beast when it is commanded to you after the True Ekklesia of Jesus Christ has been snatched away from the coming wrath of GOD.

The post pinged with this post to you is a stark example of the blindness of adherents to the religion of The Pope in Rome. Such devotees are spiritually unable to see the heresy. Can you discern it?

So you took that long to find a religion that fed your self pride in your fealty to a sacramental trail. Okay, so don’t take the Mark when commanded to you after the True Ekklesia of Jesus The Christ is removed from the about to be wrathed planet. Just don’t take the mark.

Satan’s little twister leaps up, again and gains expression from a teacher in Catholicism. The heart of this heresy is the source, woman. A demonic apparition is the source of the idol devotion. The apparition is lying, the idol object has a lie printed upon it, and you are defending the lies of an apparition from hell by claiming it is something (a devotional object) that the apparition from hell did not assert.

For your information there are 22 rites, all Catholic Masses!
Thats correct.
Christians also have many rites - all worshipping Christ!

Thank you, Liberty Women, for your good will and good heart. I am a Catholic blessed to have many fine Protestants among my friends and family. I do think we are one family in Christ. So what do you do with the many papal decrees that exclude Protestants from being part of the body of Christ?
And what is your position on Pope Francis: Is he
1. Not a true Catholic but a heretic yet still a validly elected pope.
Not a true pope, with the last valid pope being______

I just glanced at this thread when it was beginning last night a bit before your first post.
The Pope steps in it yet again. There are “charitable” ways to interpret his words but clumsily phrased conciliatory platitudes that gloss over truth and error are, even at the best of times, painful for me to hear, and they grate when they come forth from the Holy Father.
I’d love to see the two of you meet and chat. Whatever your faults, and what I perceive as misconceptions, you are more zealous for what you perceive as truth than a whole lot of other people, and perhaps some of that could rub off on the Holy Father.
While it is good to see your (bitter?) zeal, I’ll mostly stick to caucus threads—and this thread reminds me why.
Prayers up for you and yours.

By definition, some Pope has to be the worst Pope ever (or to date).

Joh_17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
What an abhorrent insult to call a human faker, poser the Holy Father, God of all Creation; the only perfect being...Do you Catholics really have that much disdain for the ONLY, REAL Holy Father that you would give that moniker to a mere, failed human being???

Sorry. I dont have to show anything or justify mYou are on a forum, a place of exchange, and if you make a accusation claim or charge, then you should expect it can be challenged, and not assert such unless you are prepared to do so. Otherwise you are just a peon with an unsupported opinion that should not expect to be taken seriously.
y opinion/observations to you or anyone else on this forum. And when I said its not right I was referring to the Catholic bashing coming from Protestants.
There is a difference btwn mere "bashing" versus sound reproof and interactive substantive exchange, and it is you who has engaged in the former, lacking the latter, and thus has been challenged accordingly.

Last I checked, no one was calling Francis the God of all Creation or the only perfect being, and no one was singing the three-fold Sanctus to him.
Hebrew uses repetition to demonstrate the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives.
In the last supper discourse, context wold make it clear that, while at least in the Greek rendering of a Hebrew Speech, even if qdsh was used only once, this was shorthand for the superlative three-fold employment found in Isaiah 6.
If, upon reflection, one can’t distinguish the three fold from the single fold use, NBL, NBL.
