SOLDOTNA, Alaska — A Satanic Temple member who won the right to open a regional Alaska government meeting declared “Hail Satan” during her first invocation, prompting about a dozen officials and attendees to walk out.
Tuesday’s invocation that started the meeting of the Kenai Peninsula Borough also spurred a protest outside the southern Alaska borough’s administration building that drew 40 people, The Peninsula Clarion newspaper reported .
Protesters held signs saying “reject Satan and his works” and “know Jesus and his love.”
During her invocation, Satanic Temple member Iris Fontana said, “That which will not bend, must break, and that which can be destroyed by truth should never be spared as demise. It is done, hail Satan,” Kenai radio station KSRM reported .

I don’t see whats so difficult about this. Satanism is basically a hate religion built specifically as a parody to mock other religions. The invocation is not out of a genuine religious desire but to ridicule other people which the mission of the ‘temple’ even admits. They don’t even believe in satan. If we can specifically single out hate speech and hate crime and whatever why can’t we single out a hate religion to bar from causing a scene in public meetings?
Only a dozen? Why am I not surprised by a prayer to Satan? He wants to be worshipped. 👎 Unfortunately, some actually do that.

Well, there goes my vacations plans to Soldotna for this summer. I have been planning a long (2 weeks) fishing trip to that area. I don’t want to go where Satanist are abundant. they do a lot of evil.
Easy fix. Don’t have any religious invocations/prayers before a government meeting. They don’t belong there in the first place.

Official “Government” is doing very little of today’s Violations of the 1st Amendment by Prohibiting free speech, free thoughts, free religion in public, in meetings, and in politics.
It is the socialist-democrat-racists in the media, in charge inside the government, and in the courts who are doing it “individually” with the full encouragement of the “free press” and the “private businesses” who are doing it.
Now, yes,they are breaking the Law, breaking the Constitution, breaking your and my rights. But the democrats don’t care. And their allies in the government and what little is left of the press corpse are NOT fighting the trend.
Seems like you’re taking the position that the government is indeed not trampling people’s 1A rights, but you’re upset anyways about something or other the Democrats and media are doing. Is that about it?
