Heavenly Father –

As we pass the 75th anniversary of D-Day, may we praise You, Lord, who delivered us during the dark days of World War II.

Through Providence and Your Spirit, You empowered the allies with courage and strength to battle evil. Turn the tide in the bloodiest war in history. Even though the outcome could have been a disastrous failure.

We confess we have forgotten You and Your deliverance. And have taken the freedoms and inalienable rights endowed by You, our Creator, for granted. And as a result of the stupor of apathy and sin our freedoms are stealthily stolen from us.

May we remember Your Son, and trust in Him, as the author of liberty:

Open our eyes, ears, mind, heart, and soul, Lord. May we remember You. Grant Your people a heart of repentance. May the Spirit reveal Your will and guide us in a dark world.

May we heed the warning of Ronald Reagan:

This day, D-Day + 75 years, protect Your people from the evil one, the author of murder, war, division, strife—everything that is profane in this world.

May the Spirit fill and empower President Trump and Vice President Pence. Grant them discernment, strength, and courage to do the right thing.

May Your Spirit ignite a Great Awakening and revival in our land. And if it be Your will, may America become the nation You intended her to be, because our people put their trust in You, Father.

My uncle was there that day.

He said they were all terrified and not one of them expected to survive it.

That sure is a far cry from today’s snowflake generation.

Lord, please, a revival in this country.

Please remove from office those who do evil and plan evil. Please put into office those who follow You and Your precepts and please change the spiritual climate in this country.

Please, wake up Your church and get them on their knees and bring about a great harvest among those who do not yet believe.
