Heavenly Father –

In a world of information overload, many of us live with FOMO—fear of missing out. But we lack Truth. We lack wisdom. We lack discernment. And that leads to bondage, blinding the people as our tech “overlords” control the flow of information of social media, the internet, and mainstream news.

George Orwell foresaw such a day of propaganda and censorship of dissenting views:

Likewise David lamented in his day:

In my alarm I said,

“Everyone is a liar.”

Psalm 116:11 (NIV)

It’s been 3000 years, and David’s observation still stands.

Yet, the Son of David has come and proclaimed: I am the way and the truth and the life.

We thank You, Father, for all those who preach the Gospel, proclaiming the Good News among all the distressing news. And for Your people to shine the Light of Your Truth, exposing the lies and manipulation.

And we thank You, Father, for raising up President Trump and Vice President Pence in this day of global lies and deceit and godlessness. Though the power of the Holy Spirit, grant them Wisdom and discernment and strength. Protect them, their families, their staff from ongoing spiritual attacks and from the enemy within.

Spark repentance of our national sins and revival among God’s people. May we reflect the Light of His Truth in a dark world of lies and deceit.
