A California pastor is looking for a job after facing backlash over a church sign that affirms the biblical definition of gender and marriage.
Pastor Justin Hoke of Trinity Bible Presbyterian Church in Weed, California, posted a new church sign in early January. The sign read: "Bruce Jenner is still a man. Homosexuality is still sin. The culture may change. The Bible does not."

The latter. Are you saying people with homosexual urges only recognize someone as attractive and not lust after them? Aren’t homosexual urges by default sinful because they’re against nature, against divine design, finding members of the same sex sexually attractive?
If you don’t have gay sex or fantasize about it you’re not a homo.
“Bruce Jenner is still a man. Homosexuality is still sin. The culture may change. The Bible does not.”
He left out, “Human nature does not change.” We are, once again, rejecting God’s word.
What are you trying to say?
Read the scripture. You can just copy and psst those passages in your browser and read it there since it appears you do not posses or own a Bible.
Dreaming and lusting is different from a homosexual thought. Dreaming and lusting is committing sodomy in your heart and it is sin! Wouldn’t you admit that Satan can through thoughts at people?
No it’s not
Acting on it is
Amen!
I do not have time to read your mind...
Oh sorry - so to help you out, those passages in Leviticus refer to the sin of homosexual encounters. I hope this helps you out in your understanding what the thread is all about so maybe later you could - oh, never mind.
Satan can through thoughts at people. This is very different from lusting. Just as much as seeing a beautiful girl and having a thought is very different from lusting after her in your heart
Sorry if you woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I know those scriptures and quote them often in homosexual dialogs, but that does not help me understand what you are trying to say...
You mean God probably doesn’t like men to stick their penis’s in other men’s butt holes? Really? Who knew?
Suggest you go and converse on a young adult website and leave FR to the adults.
“If he does not act on his inclinations, then he has not sinned.”
Nobody asked me, but . . . I was taught that being tempted in and of itself is not a sin.
However, if a person “commits” a wrongful act in their heart, that is sin.
At 1 John 3:15 it is explained: “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer, and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.”
You don’t actually have to pull the trigger to sin.
He can hold his head high. Said the truth and took the consequences.
If he wants to remain a Presbyterian, there are a couple of conservative offshoots.
