"Shriners hide the terrifying abuses of a secretive organization behind smiling clowns, candy and tear-jerking, sentimental ads for childrens hospitals while soliciting millions from an unsuspecting uninformed public."

The magnificent thing in this country, despite the thought police, is that you can believe what ever you want.
????
I’ve had some disputes with James myself. He was obviously a latter day “church” father. The target of his epistle is clearly an established church and he is sending them rules for keeping organized. Still a problem for Lovers of Jesus, Son of God.

One and the same. My GF was both.
I guess now I know my grandfather’s deep dark secret: he wasn’t just a Shriner, but a devil worshipper!!!
How will I go on knowing this evil secret?
I sure agree. We really don’t know who wrote James. In my studies there is no reconciliation in his message and Paul’s but many push hard to have faith in the Bible when the faith target should be Christ as the SON who was sacrificed and atoned for our sins. Pretty simple but ,in my opinion, the devil tries to complicate it.
I’m a wonder-er of all things. You know the one who kills the cat? If I get curious about any question I can’t rest until I find everything there is to know about the subject. I know I won’t live long enough, but it keeps me busy in the meantime. Now, my brain is so full I can’t remember any of it. All filed safely away and I can never find the right file.
Many a fraternal organization is little more than an excuse to drink and socialize... not sure exactly how or why thats a bad thing.
; )
He wrote this book, along with many others:
Masonry: Beyond the Light, 291 pages, 4 star reviews on Amazon. Written 25+ years ago, but the wealth of information is incredible.
He has a number of old videos on youtube, in which he which covers the subject more thoroughly.
His website is interesting, too: http://www.withoneaccord.org/
Along with my dad, my grandfather, my great grandfather, and who knows who else.
It is not a bad thing at all. I was in a fraternity and it was total debauchery all the time but we didn’t hide behind “good works”. We were just decadent. It was fun.
Ask Google.
She knows what you want...
To be a Shriner, you must be a Master Mason. Ergo, all Shriners ate Masons but not all Masons are Shriners. And since some ceremonial garb has been described as Islamic, one should note the period in time predates Islam. So, can one presume that all Muslims dress up as Masons???
Are, not ate. Carp, now we’re going to be tagged with cannibalism.
Freemasonry is very satanic.

They take secret blood oaths, etc.
I’ve read some of them.
It’s bad.
They pass themselves off as Christian but they are anything but.
So was my grandfather and my grandmother was a member of the Eastern Stars. (Maybe one and the same?)
Considering we all lived in a small town in northern Michigan, they musta been kicked outta the club since I don't remember them going to any satanic rituals up there..........LOL!
Oops, I do remember our whole family going to a pig roast one weekend. Could that have been a satanic ritual in disguise?
No but all Mason’s dress up and play Mohammedans.
Most of what is out there about the Masons is nonsense. Including the stuff they say. For example they claim to be preservers of building & esoteric secrets handed down from the builders of King Solomon’s temple - particularly Hiram Abiff the chief architect of King Solomon’s Temple. Highly unlikely to be true! They could be a fraternal society that does owe its origins to the medieval architectural/building societies/guilds. Often guilds would protect their trade secrets & apprenticeships (training!) with ritual. Since they were doing God’s work building the great cathedrals of Europe why not claim to be continuing the traditions of Hiram. In a way they were! Probably the actual techniques before the age of the steam engine weren’t that different. Gravity is gravity same then as now, you can only overcome it in certain ways. Actually none of that is as important as what Masons & their fraternity did to the greater European society. All were equal in the lodge, both Kings and comonomers, Jews & Christians all that was required religion-wise was not to be an atheist. For example Frederick the Great was a Mason as was our George Washington. (also Paul Revere, John Hancock, the Marquis de Lafayette, and the Boston Tea Party saboteurs, were also Freemasons - Good company to be connected with!) If George Washington is of any importance to you a trip to the Washington Masonic Temple is well worth it. They have a remarkable Washington memorabilia collection. He & his mason buddies laid cornerstone of the Capitol in a Masonic ritual and DC is laid out using Masonic symbols. So in short the Masons of the age were key in spreading notions like all men are created equal, and other ideas we are supposed to hold dear.
And no I am not a Mason, my father was and he always tried to get me to join. Today they do a lot of very good charity work raise money for eyesight research, collect money and used glasses for the poor. The Shriners raise massive amounts of money for burn clinics & children’s burn hospitals. Alas I am not a joiner of much of anything, I just don’t have his gregarious and out going personality. I just find the “dress-up” and rituals ridiculous and just can’t make myself do it. I did disappoint my late father on this, because he got a lot out of it. (Yes I am a dour old stick-in-the-mud!).
So in short anyone who claims that the Masons are connected to the devil is simply an ass! Additionally you’d be saying my dear late father is satanic, which means if you met me you wouldn’t keep your teeth! George would agree!
Look if guys want to get together and drink, and socialize, and decide you know what lets give a little back while we’re at it... so be it... countless fraternal organizations are effectively this.
I don’t think it detracts from the good works they do.
As long as they aren’t out drinking and driving in those little trikes of theirs on public roads... let em have their fun.
