It is not a bad thing at all. I was in a fraternity and it was total debauchery all the time but we didn’t hide behind “good works”. We were just decadent. It was fun.
Look if guys want to get together and drink, and socialize, and decide you know what lets give a little back while we’re at it... so be it... countless fraternal organizations are effectively this.
I don’t think it detracts from the good works they do.
As long as they aren’t out drinking and driving in those little trikes of theirs on public roads... let em have their fun.
