Many a fraternal organization is little more than an excuse to drink and socialize... not sure exactly how or why that’s a bad thing.
It is not a bad thing at all. I was in a fraternity and it was total debauchery all the time but we didn’t hide behind “good works”. We were just decadent. It was fun.
