Anything that comes from our petitions is from God.

Not necessarily:

Psalm 66:18 AV:
18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

Matthew 7:21-23 AV:

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day,

Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity

Matthew 16:22-23 AV:
22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying,
Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
23 But he turned, and said unto Peter,
Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

From those who have not yet been reborn from the Spirit, The Mighty God only wants to hear one petition. Anything else is just chaff.

So, when your petitions are answered you don't know if it was God or Satan who answered?

That's exactly right. You can know pretty much that it was Satan that answered. A lot of unsaved people think it was God that was answering, and thus reckon that they are OK, so why change?

That is really unfortunate for you that it pretty much is Satan that answers your petitions. Unfortunate and sad.

I agree wholeheartedly!

We FReepers tend to devolve into arguing (debating ;^) over words; and Scripture has warned us of that.

I can’t hardly tell my Catholic believers to call no man father when I tend to ignore the arguing over words verse.

Actually, that is not the case. You are presuming more than your knowledge base can support, so your compassion is misplaced. But I guess that you just like to insult rather than respond like an adult.

Do you have anything better to do?

What did you say your religious inclination is?

I presumed nothing. when I asked if when your petitions are answered whether you don't know if it was God or Satan who answered? You answered "that's exactly right" and "you can know pretty much that it was Satan that answered". No. insult, just telling you that case is sad and unfortunate . Maybe you weren't communicating clearly and I misunderstood?

Do you have anything better to do?

I could ask the same of you. Remember, you initiated the conversation.

What did you say your religious inclination is?

I didn't; but it is orthodox Christianity. I avoid the stuff from the fringe of Christianity.

Maybe you weren't communicating clearly and I misunderstood?

Perhaps you did. Saved or unsaved, if you regard iniquity in your heart, make all the petitions you want, except one, and Adonai will not hear. But Satan does, and loves to leave a trail o answers and little worldly presents that oppose the will of God to lead you away from Him. If you didn't know and assume this, you might be either untutored in the things of God, or unsaved. Such a person has not reached the stage of spiritual maturity as to be accepted as Beloved John commended his young disciples:

"I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one" (1 Jn. 2:14cde AV).

Baby Christians are still almost as easily deceived by the Devil as they were before committing themselves to the care of Jesus and His appointed teachers. They still behave carnally. Some--actually many nowadays--profess Christianity and salvation, but are not confessing it in their lifestyle, thus do not seem to possess it.

Have you read over your responses in this thread? It is not clear to me that you are not in this class of spiritual immaturity. Do you want to be? Are you teachable? Or do you think you "know it all"?

There are participants in this forum who can and will help improve your religious education, if you desire.

Based on your answers regarding who is answering your petitions, you sound like you fit into this stage of Christian development.

Are you teachable? Or do you think you "know it all"?

How about you?

I can say that I have learned much from the mature and orthodox Christians on this forum. Maybe you can learn from them, too.

You claimed that Jesus’ body does not have any blood. Yet you cannot explain how you arrived at this absurd conclusion?

Maybe someone else on this thread can explain what you mean?

Wrong guess. And either your Bible teachers are not capable, or they're not doing very well with you. Maybe both.

Bp, I’ve not paid attention to this conversation and don’t have time to go back and read it.

Is there a passage in Scripture that indicates a resurrection body has blood?

I can’t think of one off the top of my head, but maybe you can.

Anything that comes from our petitions is from God.

Then why not ask God yourself?

Why have someone else ask for you?

Do you not think that God would answer you Himself?

Maybe someone else on this thread can explain what you mean?

When Jesus died on the cross, His body exsanguinated. There is no record of it ever being replaced. At least, the Risen Jesus' open wounds were not bleeding when He invited Thomas to test them:

"Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing" (Jn. 20:27 AV).

And also, His Blood, having been separated forever from His Body, was offered in the Holy of Holies of Heaven to pay for our sins:

"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold,
from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: . . ." (1 Pet. 1:18-19 AV).

Jesus' Blood could not be the sacrifice while it was still in His Body.

Your assumptions are just that. They have no Biblical basis. This is not an argument about what you think. It is about what the Bible says and does not say.

It's neither. You're starting to sound an awful like you fit into the "know it all" category you mentioned earlier.

Good luck with the answers you're getting to your petitions.
