For instance, the USCCB opposed Trump's decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement in June. The chairman of the USCCB Committee on International Justice and Peace, Bp. Oscar Cantú, called the move "deeply troubling."

Nowhere does it suggest opposition to national sovereignty.
Are they calling on LIBERALS to get behind the Trump solution?

Thanks be to God that Bishop’s Conferences lack any moral or theological or political authority.
Only individual Bishops have Faith and moral authority and that must be in keeping with Magisterial teaching. Even Bishops only have private political authority.

I am appalled that my Church would engage in naked political lobbying.
The Bishops who are US Citizens may contact their member of Congress on the matter if they wish. Beyond that they have NO business getting involved in this.
