In July 1980, Bryan Melvin drank cholera-tainted water and died.
He was transported to Hell where he saw many people being tormented for their sins, including someone he identified as Hitler.

So, does this make sense? Theologically, does this make sense?
Do we go straight to Heaven/Hell upon the instant of death as this man claims he did? Is there not “Judgment Day”. Is there no wait or delay for the Second coming of Christ? Is that what the bible says? Does the bible say that people are in Heaven right now and people are in Hell right now?
I thought Judgment comes on the last day. So what it is, do we go straight to Heaven/Hell or do we await the last day for Judgment?
It has always seemed obvious to me that hell is a removal of God’s protection. The Bible clearly states that he wishes it for no one. However, He is a person who respects the decisions of others. There is life with God or life without God, there isn’t any other place to go...just with or without. If after repeated and desperate pleadings and after Jesus willingly and with full pre-knowledge allowed himself to be tortured to death so we wouldn’t have to pay the penalty, what else can God do? He created mankind with free will..He won’t retract that gift. I really get so tired of people blaming God for ‘sending people to hell.’
Rev 6:9-10 indicates that there are people in Heaven before the Judgment, waiting for Judgment.
Christ in Matthew 10:28 states:
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Dann on Brinkley wrote about this subject years ago and still has not changed.
I died and crossed over to Heaven. The bliss was so wonderful I did not want to return.
For the same reason that a prayerful blessing to an evil person is like placing hot coals upon their head. Heaven is hell for an evil person.
“I myself had an NDE where I went to hell- and it was straight blackness/heat/worms/screaming/fright/suffocation that would not kill/boiling alive but not dying etc-”
LOL, you were just stuck in the Bardo. You must go through that to get to Heaven. It is an etheric fence to keep low frequency souls out of high frequency Heaven.
I’ve been through it many times both in NDE and meditation
As an NDE experiencr and a neuroscientist, I would say your statements are way off reality.
NDE experiences can be explained scientifically- the narrow tunnel that most people see happens when the brain gets starved of oxygen and peripheral vision gets lost- seeing loved ones is the brain trying to make sense of the dying experience- that is a very common thing to happen- life flashing before ones eyes is also caused by
Destroy does not mean annihilation or obliteration.
Hell is eternal because the soul is immortal.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
“Im not really into the Hell theological debate but there is the outer darkness of Hell as recorded in the Bible.”
This layer is real. It is an etheric fence with illusions of gargoyles and demons to create fear in the non pure souls, thus blocking them from moving through to Heaven
Purgatory is also not in the Bible; your experience needs to be confirmed by Scripture to be valid... God can not contradict Himself.
My grandmom related a story about one of her relatives dying. The guy was a miserable bas***d all his life. Just as he was dying he started yelling they were coming for him and wound up kicking the end of the bed out, splintering it. Then he died; reminded me of those scenes in Ghost Story where they came for the bad guys and this was before the movie when he died.
I’ve worked with people who have had NDE’s for close to 30 years. Had several myself, and also do hospice work.
While the experience is based upon perception, there is much reality.
By the way, with good meditation practices you can have the same experience.
How funny... God is in control and uses even Satan as a tool.
“The definition of sin is that which separates you from God...”
Pretty good definition. I use the definition of sin as anything which creates an obstacle to Love in our soul. Which is essentially the same thing.
I’m saying the bible says the soul is NOT eternal. However, if you are born again, you receive an eternal spirit.
I supplied a few links that speak to this but google will get you to a LOT of stuff on the subjects, from all sides.
“The brain is just a physical device which can effect the soul and spirit, but not identical to them.
The soul and spirit exist when the body is no longer combined, (i.e. dead)”
EXACTLY.
Keep in mind the soul creates the physical body.
A chemical stronger than LSD is released during NDE.
Hence the out of body stuff.
I have a brain injury. A few times over the years I wake up from dreams and it takes a day or two to fully comprehend that the people and places were not real
I’ve credit over a break up with an imaginary girl for a few days
Sound funny. It’s not. We have NO CLUE how the brain work. I wish we did.
