So many people think that people in heaven are doorsteps. They know and care nothing about us, do not pray for us, do nothing.
Of course, they have a number proof-texts, ripped out of context, misused in the way typical of propagandists. Applying them to an issue that the author did not even have in mind.
When all else fails, they repeat over and over that dead people are “dead.” That’s right, they say that the blessed in heaven are not alive at all.

People in hell are alive, too. Your *argument* means nothing.
Yes, the Biblical use of the word *dead* is the common use meaning their physical bodies have died.
Eccl. 9:5 but the dead do not know anything, nor have they any longer a reward, for their memory is forgotten.
When Lazarus died, Jesus referred to it as a sleep. When he came back to life there was no mention of "Why did you do that?" "I was in Heaven, dude!". Nothing.
You just can't make this stuff up...
