The approval comes following the latest antics from the Satanic Temple
BELLE PLAINE, Minn. (ChurchMilitant.com) - Minnesota will soon be hosting the country's first public, permanent satanic monument. The Satanic Temple (TST), headed by Detroit native Doug Mesner (also known by his public pseudonym Lucien Greaves), announced May 5 that Belle Plaine had approved a monument for Veterans' Memorial Park that will consist of a two-foot-high, black steel cube, with inverted pentagrams etched into its sides and a dark soldier's helmet overturned on top.
It's being called the "Baphometic Bowl of Wisdom," named after the half-man, half-goat demon worshiped by satanists.
Church Militant reached out to Fr. Brian Lynch of Our Lady of the Prairie parish in Belle Plaine. Father Lynch said the parish was hoping at this stage that the monument won't go up, given that TST is still raising funds for its construction. Insuring and maintaining the monument will cost approximately $19,000. TST has raised over $9,000 as of Monday.
Church Militant also contacted the archdiocese of Saint Paul-Minneapolis, but have received no response as of press time. The archdiocesan website contains no statement or response to the development in Belle Plaine.

At first, for a satanic display, I thought they were erecting a statue of Obama.
You may be correct. Most their spokesmen do share certain traits , fixations and affectations.
I’m hoping for a 1 Samuel 5 moment. Like Dagon, head and hands broken off!
What is happening in this country is surreal.

.
That is going to bite this nation in the azz, big league and Minnesomalia, particularly.
“The statues of the renowned brave men of the Confederacy such as General Robert E. Lee are now being toppled and hauled away to oblivion, while a monument to Satan is approved and is being erected. What is happening in this country is surreal.”
I suggest anyone with family members that like to eat buy a few extra canned goods.
There is no telling what we may run into ahead.
Next, put the Jefferson Davis confederacy monuments up there in Minnesota. Now that would be a hoot!
hmmm, satanists have engaged in child sacrifices- rapes, murders etc- and they can have a monument, but a rebel leader who fought for his country can’t be honored?
Maybe the duke of insufficient illumination, but darkness??? Naaaa.
Did the background symbol give it away ;-)
First ever? No. There are lots of monuments celebrating Barack Hussein.
“That’s odd, we don’t usually see that kind of behavior in a major appliance.” Vinkmann, Ghost Busters.
Likely right on the money
I have the following understandings, after reading this piece:
1. “Church militant” reminds me so much of the “faith militants”, as depicted in the 6th season of ‘Game of Thrones’.
2. ‘Church militant’ wishes, by any means possible, to co-opt ALL the different beliefs within American, both peaceful and violent, into a single amalgam, headed by them.
3. As an American individual, I stand here and shout “Balderdash!”, to BOTH ‘the church militant’ AND ‘the satanic church’. Why? Because as an American individual, *I* define what *I* believe to behold as deity, and without fear, question that Deity. Any religious organization that points a finger at me, and says, “You better dot dot dot”, gets a finger pointed back at them, and possibly not the same one they used. Mind you, the U.S. Constitution secures my right to do so, just as much as it secures the right for those saying, ‘You better”.
(Any religion that condones physical violence upon non-believers is NOT under such securities.)
I always though the face on that statue resembles 0bama.
Anti-Christian atheist activist cult is a more accurate description of so-called “Satanists”.
Anton LaVey was an atheist.
The schools that encourage so-called atheist clubs support the establishment of anti-Christian hate groups. That is all.
"will consist of a two-foot-high, black steel cube, with inverted pentagrams etched into its sides"
Like a Spinal-Tap model of Mecca?

But they tear down civil war memorials? Sick.
