Until the influx of Russian Jews in the ‘90s, a majority of Israeli Jews were descendants of Jews who had always lived in the Land of Israel or from Jews who came from Muslim countries that had almost never intermarried with European Jews.
Don’t confuse the ruling Israeli elites with the general Israeli Jewish population.

Ashkenazis aren’t called that because they are descendants of Ashkenaz, but because they became noticeably different residing in Ashkenaz (aka Germany or generic Europe). They were cut off from Middle Eastern and North African Jews because of Islam.
Japheth was the progenitor of Greeks/Europeans.
What is telling is not that there are no DNA reference points to “local” populations where Middle East Jews went and settled after disbursement during and after the Roman Empire - because there are - but the high degree to which majorities of Jews today have DNA reference points related to the Middle East origins of Jews (& Arabs). Why? For reasons socially enforced on Jews, and by choice, though inter-marriage did occur it was considerably less frequent among Jews, particularly when groups of whole families migrated, as opposed to single men migrating and taking local wives.
Hitler certainly used Middle Eastern antisemitism and allied with the Arab Nationalists, Muslim Brotherhood, and the Arab leaders in British Mandate Palestine to slaughter every Jew in the region. But this was far from the genesisi of antisemitism in the region. It goes back to Jews refusing to convert under the Hellenistic Syrians and then Romans. Islam created its own antisemitism. Medina was once called Yathrib and dominated by Jews. After Mohammed and his cult fled Mecca, they were given shelter in Yathrib, largely because many members of his clan were Jewish. When enough people converted to Islam, Mohammed waged war on the Pagans, Christians and Jews of Yathrib. Mohammed had a tummy ache, claimed he was poisoned, and proceeded to have every adult male member of a clan of Jews killed, took their wives as rape slaves, and their children for all purposes. Mohammed famously raped Rayhana bint Zayd while literally covered with her husbands blood.
I believe one accepted calculation is that Jews probably intermarried (but remained Jews) at a rate of of one-half of one percent in each generation.
Don’t forget that two converts could marry and have 100% Jewish children with no Jewish DNA at all.
In Europe until after the Napoleonic era, Jews could not be citizens or own land. They lived at the mercy of the lords and princes. Even when given major tasks by the European nobility, they still could not obtain citizenship or own land themselves.
Add to that the kind of tasks the nobility did give them
(because it was less threatening to the power of the nobility to give many important tasks to the Jew, ‘cause it could never gain him power from it),
like tax collector, manager of the farm & laboring serfs, {Ukraine and Eastern Europe), money manager, making investments for their lord.
From that Jews got a bad name from the common people - they were the taskmasters and tax collectors of the tyrannical nobility, providing additional social stigma and all the more reason they did NOT intermarry much. Though many Jews who had been given major tasks by the nobility advanced in the areas of their work - management, finance, investment - the majority of Jews were the lowest of the lowest and usually isolated socially. When was the Napoleonic Code adopted? 1804. Does that answer your question.
I am not a historian. I would have known that Hitler only exploited the preexisting antisemitism that was established by Mohammad and the Romans. This animus against the Jews gets passed on from generation to generation just because the parents and grandparents said so. Hitler certainly stoked the fires.
Thanks for getting the history right. I think Hitler exploited the preexisting antisemitism through his propaganda program on steroids. The plan was to use antisemitism to wrestle control from England of the oil resources in the Middle East and control of the Suez Canal. That effort has come to haunt us today even though we took out the Third Reich.

DNA Tester: 75 Percent of Jews Trace Ancestry to Middle East
Founder of U.S.-based company says that anti-Jewish polemics can’t hide the science proving that Jews did indeed originate from the region.
As well as the fact their high IQ level helped make them proficient in those tasks.
Ha ha ha ha ha! It is amazing how the family stories don’t pan out. Haven’t done mom’s genetics yet, should do soon. But after just doing her ancestry.com files, she is NOT half Irish like she was told. The side of her family that was supposed to be Irish is from all kinds of European countries but only one among several great grand parents came from Ireland. Her father was called “black Irish” due to his dark coloring. I’m curious where he did hail from, a genetic test of mom should tell a story!
My little girl of adopted genes had the test and her results were a beautiful geography / history lesson of Puerto Rico. So cool. Iberian, Native North American (no doubt Taino), and a bit of west African!
Forced conversion and hiding in churches pretending they were Catholics contributed to quite a bit of that.
I have my nose stuck in a book, usually a history book, any chance I have. It is both part of my job and my joy. Most of my customers are similar. Sometimes I forget that there are people who are not obsessive about obscure historical trivia and jump on people who do not deserve it.

What you have posted was very informative. And now that you bought it up, it makes perfect sense in regards to the anti-semitism that is part and parcel to European culture.
Like I said, if you don’t live it, you would never know. The European history that is taught doesn’t get that deep into the social stratification of these places, mostly just “who, what, when, and where”.
Yeah, the president of the DNA company mentioned it in the video.
THere’s no basis to the theory.
