Prayer Request - My Son's Surgery (Updates at #74, #75 and #81)

Tomorrow morning , my son is undergoing laminectomy (spinal decompression) surgery. Alex is my firstborn, a good father to two of my grandchildren, a wonderful stepfather to two stepchildren, a devoted husband, and a good man.
I am asking our Blessed Lord to guide the hands of the surgeons and the other medical staff and to send His peace to my son, who is rather anxious about this procedure.
Please pray for Alex,and his wife, and his family.

May the Angels of the Lord encamp around your son and his medical team tomorrow morning before, during and after the surgery! May the Mercy of the Lord give your son strength, courage and complete healing. May the spirit guide the surgeons and medical team and give them the wisdom they will need.
May the Holy Spirit give your son and his family and all the family a peace throughout this difficult time that passes all understanding.

Prayers lifted for your Alex. I’ve been through this surgery several times. It’s not fun but often it works quite well and should give him lasting relief.

Update: Surgery began around noon. Doc said it went well. His wife was allowed to see him in recovery around 4:45. He is still in a lot of pain(at 5 PM, Eastern), but they are trying to relieve that.

Son is in pain but progressing. Chatted with him through text last night and this morning. (Throat is too sore for phone conversation.) He hopes to be discharged on Saturday.
