Lord, we ask that You will be the help of the men and women in our armed forces; teach them to trust in You.
Teach us, Lord, not to put our trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground, and on that very day their plans come to nothing. But blessed is he whose help is You, the God of Jacob, whose hope is in You, O LORD. For You are the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them – You are the LORD, who remains faithful forever. You uphold the cause of the oppressed and give food to the hungry. You set prisoners free, and give sight to the blind, You lift up those who are bowed down, You love the righteous. You are worthy of our trust, and we give it to You in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Father God, we praise You. We submit to Your Divine Authority. We thank You for providing the opportunity for people to consider that Donald Trump cannot be a savior. We have the Savior in Your Son, Christ Jesus. We thank You that You have created Donald Trump with very good business skills.
We also thank You for reminding us that none of us are flawless. Only Your Son Jesus is perfect. Father, we hope that everything that has happened in the last 24 hours will help point us to our need for You. We do not only have economic problems in this land, we are also spiritually broken.
May we humble ourselves and call upon You. Father God, lead of out of this wilderness of wickedness and devastation, that those who serve this nation will have leadership who are God fearing and will shepherd us into Your kingdom. We ask that as a nation, we follow You.
