I'm quite serious, here. I've always admired Andy Stanley. My kids have went to Northpoint Church in Atlanta and I've enjoyed his messages. Now I'm starting to read criticisms of him regarding emergent theology, Biblical reinterpretation, and other topics meant to cater to millenials. Do yo think this guy is orthodox is he heading down the wrong path? I know he is in the top 5 of megapastors in the US.
Mega Church ping worthy?

Management will not ping members to every thread addressing megachurch pastors, but will tag articles of interest with the KEYWORD: YBPDLN.
If you would like on or off of this list please FReepmail me.

Not a fan, seems like all fluff, no stuff.
Try John MacArthur and Grace to You. There was some commotion about Andy Stanley being accepting of homosexual unions in his church a while back.
Danger Will Robinson, Danger!
There are significant problems with this man and his teaching.
And while I diagree with some of his teaching, mostly on escatology, I think MacArthur’s teaching is some of the best out there.
I want to thank all of you for your responses concerning Andy Stanley. After some distress, I’ve come to some conclusions about his ministry. I, myself am more comfortable with his dad. I find nothing wrong with small churches and verse by verse exposition on the holy scripture “write them upon your heart” Andy and other megachurch outreach to millennials are problematic. This generation will not stand for the “old time”Gospel. The message has to be gussied up with music and attractive presentations. This is more of an indictment of this generation with “itching ears” than with the tried and true Gospel. I do not believe Andy is heretical. I believe he has a burning heart for this generation and I pray his outreach brings many to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. He’s is a great motivator and lecturer but I suspect some of his scriptural interpretations are a little weak. “heaven and earth will pass away but the word of the Lord stands forever”. Thanks again for helping me clarify my thoughts. Both of my daughters have been very positively impacted by Andy’s ministry.
Papa Stanley focuses on just preaching the Word:

I like Charles Stanley a lot. His son Andy.....not so much.
I’m watching this now. To get to the comments on Andy Stanley, fast forward the video to about 41:30 on the minute timer.

“... then, a rather lengthy review of Andy Stanleys sermon from Sunday on the Bible and Christianity.”

In the video,

starting at 49:45, Andy Stanley says he believed the Bible has errors.

Ignatius and Church History, Andy Stanley, Ravi Zacharias, Epistemology, 1 Corinthians 1:18ff
My note, the 1 Cor 1:18 is IMPORTANT to know how and why the Bible’s authority has inerrancy.
At the 1:00:00 one hour mark, I've gotta say that Andy may or may NOT be a false prophet,
but no doubt, he's not qualified to be a pastor.
Thanks for the reference.
(Ping to self for later)
At 1:47:00 on the video -
- just flush Andy’s garbage down the toilet until he gets at least a decent education.
