The Presbyterian Church, U.S.A. is raising eyebrows after lifting up prayers to Allah at its General Assembly meeting last week.
"Allah bless us and bless our families and bless our Lord. Lead us on the straight path - the path of all prophets: Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad."
These were the words that rang out over the congregation at The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, USA meeting in Portland, Oregon. Wajidi Said, co-founder of the Muslim Education Trust, led the attendees in the prayer to the Islamic deity - a move arranged by the Ecumenical and Interfaith ministry staff at the assembly.
The prayer was part of the "first order of business" during the meeting's opening session, a time dedicated to praying for those affected by the Orlando shooting that occured just weeks before.
"In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful, let us praise the Lord... Peace be upon them and peace be upon Allah," Said prayed. He also prayed peace on the "bigots" and "Islamaphobes."

Mohammad was a prophet of Satan, not of The Lord. He listened to the spirit of antichrist and his kingdom is of the spirit of antichrist. To honor a blasphemer such as Mohammad is to honor evil.
I am a member of the First Presbyterian Church here in Seattle. This is a historical church that was formed before Washington became a state. Our pastor, elders, and congregation became disgusted with the conduct of Presbyterian Churches USA and voted unanimously to depart from that domination. A lawsuit ensued over the property rights of the building. We lost the suit and now have a court order to vacate the premises. So, now we have a congregation that has no place to worship God. This is quite sad as we have many older people that have worshipped here all their life and have tithed large sums of money in their life as members, now being kicked out of their place of worship. Pray for us, that we may survive and find a place to worship.
“Which of these is not like the others?”
Christians don’t practice godly kindness by pulling ungodly cruelty into their tent!
[[Im sure Muslims will reciprocate by praying to the Triune God, as revealed in the Bible]]
Watch the pictures ISIS releases and you will see them holding up one finger in most of them . That one finger salute is them telling you that they deny the Triune God.
They have a different god and a different jesus which they also deny his death on the cross (they say someone else took his place) .
(1 John 2:22) Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
Islam denies BOTH the Father and the Son and that is the biblical definition of antichrist .
Jesus was NOT a palestinian .
Your God will go with you even if you end up renting space in a gymnasium or the like.
This would be an excellent chance to teach that it isn’t about the physical building. If the now-corrupt mother organization wants the building — give it to them. Rotsa ruck to them finding a use for it.
The title misleading. A true “Christian” denomination would not, could not, pray to Allah. Ergo, this Presbyterian group is not “Christian”.
Their idea of God is a celestial monster.
Not the “Allah” of Mohammed, certainly. We aren’t addressing the technicality that the term “Allah” was used, prior to Mohammed, in Arabic translations of the Christian bible. Mohammed stole the term, just like the term “gay” and even “liberal” has been stolen today by respective language thieves.
[[PCUSA spends much of its time hating on Israel.]]
Yes they are in direct opposition to God’s will for the nation of Israel and that is NOT a good place to be.
Exactly correct!!
The first thing that popped into my mind was the “strong delusion” of 2Th 2:11.
For the life of me, I cannot fathom why people are falling all over themselves to appease/accommodate Islam and Muslims.

The neo-Marxists got the wonderfully terrible idea many decades ago (culminating in Herbert Marcuse’s work) to unite different groups to destroy Western civilization so that they could replace it with their “workers’ paradise”.
Antonio Gramsci identified the foundations of Western civilization that needed to be destroyed for this to come about.
The most important one? Christianity.
The most dangerous ideology to Christianity is Islam. Hence, the neo-Marxists see Islam as their best tool to smash the biggest barrier to their paradise, which is why they favor it so much.
They also see Muslims as intellectually inferior to Christians, which means once they’re done with the tool Islam, they can proceed to eradicate it with sexual immorality and other tools in their toolbox - or so they think.
If you’ve ever seen the “Alien” movie series, I think of these neo-Marxists as the bio-weapon scientists who keep trying to obtain the xenomorph, which is Islam in this analogy, but they have no idea what they’re about to unleash on themselves.
They are looking at Israel as an entity “according to the flesh.”
Now it would be only fair to say that there are many religiously Jewish people who also think it is wrong to have a country called “Israel” AT THIS TIME. Certainly when it DOES reappear according to biblical prophecy, its physical extent will also be biblical. The modern state of Israel is symbolic with respect to that, a foothold in the Middle East that might or might not be contiguous with the eventually restored Israel. But even if this modern state were to be overrun, the bible promises would not be effaced.
That’s curious the end game they foresee for Islam, because I am not so sure that any people group would let it go for purely secular considerations. Under certain circumstances, evangelism could win over it, though.
The Arabic word for God is Allah, no matter the context?
That being the case, why are two different (but similar sounding) words used for god/God in the Adhan?
It’s one example of it, of a general principle that God will grant the adamant sinner what he wishes for and permit it to be the basis of the sinner’s damnation, which God does not prefer but will never force otherwise against the sinner’s will.
Look at it a the Children of Isreal leaving for the promised land.
The Islamic call to prayer? Wouldn’t that be a matter of Arabic grammar? English grammar is not such that it morphs the term “God” but neither would it morph many other proper nouns.
It’s a thing which the Old Testament saga was set up by the Lord to prefigure. It isn’t the Old Testament saga itself.
I am speaking in metaphors.
Israel is Israel and God has a plan for them . He said he was going to bring them back into the land in unbelief and he has weather people like it or not . It is a very dangerous place to be standing against the will of God.
(Ezekiel 36:21) But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.
(Ezekiel 36:22) Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
(Ezekiel 36:23) And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
(Ezekiel 36:24) For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
(Ezekiel 36:25) Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
(Ezekiel 36:26) A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
(Ezekiel 36:27) And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
(Ezekiel 36:28) And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
