Theres a religious liberty standoff underway in Middleton, Wisconsin.

On one side is a group of Christian moms armed with Chick-fil-A sandwiches and 400 homemade brownies. On the other side are public school administrators who believe that Jesus and plump juicy chicken breasts are divisive.
The controversy surrounds an off-campus lunch event involving students at Middleton High School known as Jesus Lunch.

We believe that religious or political events do not have a place in our school or on our campus, except when sponsored by a student group in accordance with our rules, which require prior approval,
Said like a good little totalitarian tyrant.
The solution is clear.
There is no problem.
Outcome should be fun to observe!
But forcing students to profess the Muslim statement of faith in class is a-ok, right progs?
No. They are going after them because they are spreading a CHRISTIAN message. If they had them all on the football field with their butts in the air mumbling something in arabic nobody would complain. Nobody official that is.
The meeting isn’t on your campus, dork administrator.
Just tell the school you invited Allah too.
As you point out, it took place at a park contiguous to the school, not actually on the school campus.
Of course, it's not hallal (murdered by voodoo shaman).
I’ll bet these tyrants would not have a problem with a Muslim prayer room on campus.
And BTW, if students are allowed to eat lunch off campus, and this lunch thing is being held off campus, what in the world is the superintendent doing sticking his nose in a private gathering?
I think the folks of this town need to bring back the age old tradition of tar and feathers.
It is the same stupid mentality that does not let elementary kids invite friends from school (on school time) to birthday parties for fear some snowflake might get left out. Does not matter that kids not invited may not be friends or maybe even bullies/jerks.
just rename it Mohammed Lunch, and not only will it be OK, but you can also have it on campus, and the school will pay for the food, and provide transportation
Apparently freedom of speech and religion is a constitutional right unknown to the dopey school administrators.
The ‘Jesus lunch’ is off-campus. The attempt by school administrators to overreach their authority and to label the lunch ‘divisive’ (those attending do so voluntarily) is a transparent attempt to stifle the Christian message being disseminated. I doubt anyone is fooled.
This kind of too-typical attack on Christianity must be responded to firmly and the school administration apparatchiks reminded of their limits.
Are all “educators” flippin’ idiots?
That goes without saying .... otherwise they would be holding down real jobs that require some common sense.
Divisive? BS. Sounds like anyone is invited and no one is excluded.
Sending your kids to the government to be “educated” is tantamount to copulating with haSatan himself.
Roll the dice, take your chances.
The odds are overwhelmingly against you.
It’s likely haSatan will fill the sails of your kids boats for the rest of their lives.
He will guide them.
He will counsel them.
He will console them.
He will own them.
