Bergoglio is as crazy as Scott Hahn with the "Mother God" nonsense.

Nothing new here, I worked with a Catholic woman 25 years ago who said that she asked her priest if God was male of female. The priest said "you can think of God as female if you want".

300,000 denominations under one roof.

Perhaps he thinks that Saint Pancake has been elevated to Godhead.

In saying God is Father and Mother, Bergoglio reveals himself an occultist. It is basic belief to those in the occult: the pagan mystery religions, Gnosticism, Kabbalah, the eastern religions (Hinduism, etc.), Freemasonry, New Age, and Wicca.

Do Jesuits believe this also? I don’t know, but we know he is a Jesuit. Where he has gotten this belief from somebody needs to research.

This Pope determined that the Church become a cult. Scientology seems just around the corner.

This is clearly in the territory of heresy, New Age version.
Now I am convinced. B16 was forced out. Cardinal Burke getting the bum rush only reinforced that. At the Holy See, the fish is rotting from the head. To my Catholic friends, I say do not look to this man for the way, look only to Jesus.

I don’t remember seeing God call Himself “mother” once in the Bible. Does the Pope think that He knows God’s nature better than God???

The imagery of a mother is ascribed to God and Jesus in the scriptures. The explicit role of God as a father permeates scripture. I notice Pope Francis refered to God as "Father and Mother," not as "Mother" alone, and not denying "God the Father" which I'm certain he professes. He expressly pointed to the scripture in Isaiah emphasizing "God's maternal dimension." If one denies these scriptures are inspired of the Holy Spirit they have a grave problem, so to speak.

Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us. Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the Lord shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

Psalms, Catholic chapter one hundred twenty three, in its entirety,
Isaiah, Catholic chapter forty nine, Protestant verses fourteen to sixteen,
Isaiah, Catholic chapter sixty six, Protestant verses twelve to fourteen,
Luke, Catholic chapter thirteen, Protestant verse thirty four,
as authorized, but not authored, by King James
bold emphasis mine

Sr. Faustina's diary entry from 12/17/36, birthday of Pope Francis:

"I have offered this day for priests. I have suffered more today than ever before, both interiorly and exteriorly. I did not know it was possible to suffer so much in one day. I tried to make a Holy Hour, in the course of which my spirit had a taste of the bitterness of the Garden of Gethsemane. I am fighting alone, supported by His arm, against all the difficulties that face me like unassailable walls. But I trust in the power of His name and I fear nothing."

And then there is the, by now, depressingly familiar line about how the Church "excludes people"

Well, he's right. I got kicked out for believing the stuff in the Bible actually happened. I guess "inclusion" doesn't include people like me.

A: Not any more, and we're working on the bears next.

When I scanned the FR articles to read today and saw your post I said to myself “better say my daily Rosary before I look at this one”. Turns out today’s rotation was the Sorrowful Mysteries which I thought was apropos. Now that I’ve read the article, I’m going to read Job just to cheer me up. Glad I don’t I the Holy Spirit’s job right now. Jesus, I trust in You! God bless
