Please pray for Redleghunter, who is recovering from surgery and now is waiting to talk further with his oncologist.
Here is what happened, in his words:
Via freepmail from Redleghunter:
Up and about walking and leaping and praising God 24 hours after surgery. Ok not the leaping, I was told not to do that:)
Initial scope of tissue is that it is cancerous. How involved unknown until pathology report.
Location of small tumor is akin to standing in Grand central station and having access to over 17 train platforms. Meaning if not caught now would have got on a train to the stomach, liver, lungs etc.
More to follow as I visit the oncologist next month with pathology report in hand.
Prayers for God’s Blessings.
Prayers up.
Thank you all for the prayers. I am on the mend.
Still awaiting the pathology report. So more to follow.
Please keep us informed...I for one will keep prayers going up for you and family till we know, and even after...God Bless You!!!
Prayers said for your healing. Stay in touch.
Good news and we thank the Lord for His grace! (Heb. 4)
Praying you come up clean, FRiend.
Continued prayers for a clean bill of health for you !
We praise Thee o Lord and we adore Thee.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
Thanks for the update FRiend. Prayers continuing.
Praise God Almighty!
Continuing prayers for strength and healing.
You were the object of my latest rosary and will be in my prayers for the foreseeable future. May God continue to bless you and yours!
Good to hear. I will continue to hold you in my prayers.
Sorry for the delay in my update.
First want to thank you all for the wonderful and lovely prayers. Your offerings are before the Throne of Grace and we know He hears our prayers. So thank you so much for going boldly before God’s Throne on my behalf. God bless you all.
Just about back to normal on the physical end after the October surgery. Finding out mending incisions take a bit longer as we age. :) Back to batting practice with young son (11) and he said I’m pitching the ball too fast to him. Guess that is a good sign. Work has been busy so that is good for ‘business.’
Started chemo ‘lite’ last week all oral meds. Oncologist said given the isolation of the tissue he believes it was something from my first round of colon cancer in 2012 that has been slowly growing and Praise God found at a very early stage. No full chemo this time as he said I already did the Full Fox last time. So more visits and tests and should have a PET soon now that the incisions have healed.
Cancer is stealthy so I encourage all cancer warriors to keep up their check ups and be aggressive with their medical teams. I learned cancer has a lot to do with family trees and genetics. My grandmother died of colon cancer, my father and mother had a long history of multiple colon polyps which had them going for a colonoscopy every couple of years, my brother too. He had over 12 pre-cancerous polyps removed a year before I was diagnosed and he was 15 years older. And sad news, just weeks after my surgery my mom passed away and they did not know she had Stage 4 colon cancer which led to her pneumonia and passing away at 86. So my advice to those who are healthy is to know your family history.
I also want to pass on that if I have not responded to a Prayer Warrior ping lately, that I have been reading them and adding to the ever growing prayer list. I lifted up everyone of our FRiends today as a beautiful Texas sunrise was just getting started.
So fellow FRiends, you are all lifted up. I know we have some heavy duty requests too, so let’s keep on praying and lifting each other up.
God Bless you all!
In Jesus Christ’s Name!
