Statement of the Russian Orthodox Church on the Oregon Mass Murder of Christians

The Russian Orthodox Church is deeply grieved to learn about the terrible terrorist action in a college in the state of Oregon in the United States, in which peaceful people were killed. What makes the tragedy even graver is that the killer consciously chose to victimize young people who confess Christianity. This glaring inhuman act confirms once again that Christianity has become the most persecuted religion in the world. Extremists in various parts of the world increasingly seek to provoke hatred and enmity among religions and nations, for which they are ready to commit the most inhuman evil deeds.

The Moscow Patriarchate again and again calls the world community to pay attention to the importance of protecting Christians against terror. We keep reminding the powers that be and religious and public leaders of the responsibility lying on their shoulders for the peaceful co-existence between people of different religions, ethnoses and cultures. At the same time, we believe that the terrorist actions committed in the recent time in various countries of the world were provoked by the political and social chaos created by external forces in a number of countries in the Middle East and Northern Africa.

The Russian Orthodox Church is grieving together with the American people for those who were killed and praying for the recovery of the injured and for the consolation of the families and friends of the victims of the terrorist action. We hope that the authorities of the United States of America will take measures to prevent such tragedies and ensure a peaceful and safe life for Christians and people of other traditional religions.

I won't get into questioning your numbers, but it is a known historical fact that the KGB infiltrated all the churches in the Soviet Union. The ROC is special in the sense that it became an arm of the KGB.

I think you are confusing the ROC with the window dressing the Soviets put up and called the ROC. The real Russian Orthodox Church was to be found in the thousands of mass graves all over the USSR. Suggesting that the real church was the four hundred or so apostate clergy and bishops propped up by the NKVD is frankly rather insulting.

Under the Communists somewhere between 12-20 million people were murdered in Russia for their faith. The vast majority of those were Orthodox Christians. EVERY BISHOP that attended the great council (sobor) of 1917 was either murdered outright or died in a Soviet concentration camp.

Then why is KGB/FSB Putin so disappointed that the Soviet Union no longer exists? Why does he think Stalin, the guy who headed the S.U. during their worst years, deserves statues in his honor?

Really? Where are the churches when babies are butchered and sold for profit by Planned Parenthood, an organization financed by the tax dollars of Christians? Not a peep from America’s churches. In the former communist realm, it was hard to escape the threats and seductions of the communist state. For example, the Lutheran churches in East Germany were full of pastors who were Stasi agents and informers. But some of these agents helped make the 1989 revolution against communism!

How much more so with the Orthodox Church! The Orthodox Church is the true Church of the Apostles and Saints, glorified with prophetic saints, thousands of martyrs, true miracles, and saints who die leaving incorrupt bodies—in EVERY generation!!!! Many Orthodox laity experience God directly every week in Divine Liturgy and in the Orthodox Mysteries (Sacraments).

Christ has promised that the gates of hell shall not prevail over the Holy Orthodox Church!!!!

The renewal and revival of the Holy Orthodox Church in once officially atheist Russia stands as one of the great miracles of our age. A few bishops who were KGB agents change NOTHING of any substance!!!! Nor does the history of Stalin’s involvement—quite the opposite, really!

Now let’s look at our beloved, bur fallen America. We have leaders who favor the Sodomites at every turn, even establishing same-sex “marriage” and doing everything possible to censor, silence, and criminalize Christians who speak or act against this. The same leaders favor violent islam over Christians as well.

Even when a mentally-ill individual wants to extract “meaning” for his sorry life by perpetrating a mass school shooting, he targets Christians!!!! Why is this? Is it open season on Christians? Or did Satan tell him to target us?

Then all the pundits pile onto the story, blaming “guns” (in a gun-free zone) and “white male violence” (when the perpetrator was black). Not ONE of them mentions that the perpetrator targeted Christians!!!!

They leave it up to the Russian Orthodox Church to do that for them!!!!

Then the other class of “usual subjects” say that the Russian Orthodox Church is a “KGB plot” anyway, so anything they say is nothing but “propaganda”!!!

These “usual subjects” are inadvertently supporting the lies and machinations of Hillary clinton and obama, who are laughing at them with total contempt!!!!
