I thought he said the purpose of his visit was the end of the world due to those evil SUV-driving Americans.

Whodathunkit.

I still feel like we are being played. The pope comes out endorsing a left wing agenda. But heck, he throws some crumbs to prolifers, so he must be a good man after all.

The proposition that the USCCB's support of Obamacare is "unfailing commitment" to the pro-life cause is as ridiculous as the global warming hoax.

So certainly by tomorrow all the pro-baby-killing American politicians will be excommunicated, right?

"The innocent victim of abortion, children who die of hunger or from bombings, immigrants who drown in the search for a better tomorrow, the elderly or the sick who are considered a burden, the victims of terrorism, wars, violence and drug trafficking, the environment devastated by man’s predatory relationship with nature – at stake in all of this is the gift of God, of which we are noble stewards but not masters. It is wrong, then, to look the other way or to remain silent."

Well, Pope, if you truly are Pro-Life, then denounce the farce of climate change.

Stopping it, vis-a-vis extreme taxation and regulation, will lead to the death of untold millions of people.

here is a transcript.

The relevant passage (in context) is:

My first word to you is one of thanksgiving to God for the power of the Gospel which has brought about remarkable growth of Christ’s Church in these lands and enabled its generous contribution, past and present, to American society and to the world. I thank you most heartily for your generous solidarity with the Apostolic See and the support you give to the spread of the Gospel in many suffering areas of our world. I appreciate the unfailing commitment of the Church in America to the cause of life and that of the family, which is the primary reason for my present visit. I am well aware of the immense efforts you have made to welcome and integrate those immigrants who continue to look to America, like so many others before them, in the hope of enjoying its blessings of freedom and prosperity. I also appreciate the efforts which you are making to fulfill the Church’s mission of education in schools at every level and in the charitable services offered by your numerous institutions. These works are often carried out without appreciation or support, often with heroic sacrifice, out of obedience to a divine mandate which we may not disobey.

The “primary purpose” refers to families, since he’s here for the Philadelphia meeting of families.

His only the words about abortion were to lump it in with things like immigrants drowning and people being exploited, so I guess we’re getting the good old “seamless garment” back again.

He was worried about being identified with other deviant Catholics when he met “Obama” but should have been worried about being identified with the baby death monger “Obama”. Thousands of pictures across the Country are decked across the front pages of most of America’s newspapers. They have a smiling “Obama” with a smiling pope, making them look like they are great friends and aligned with one another. He has, for the average thinker, become aligned with Obama and all of his wretched evilness. Rather than meet with him he should have exposed his evilness verbally and by denying him a visit. Now he has allowed himself to be used by Satan to advance evil and to be used by “Obama” for propaganda purposes.

So........... you would deny US Catholics the visit of the Pope, because the President is an idiot? BTW, What would you have him do? Have you never been polite to someone you really don’t like?

Well, the deceitful Comrade Pope will have his chance when he visits Philadelphia. He can go to Kermit Gosnell’s abortion butcher house and call out, excommunicate, and reprimand all of the local, state, federal, and church people who allowed it to operate ..... or, he can declare a “jubilee” forgiving the sins of all (who is he to judge).

It’s impossible to absolve sins without the repentance and atonement of the sinner.
