This is Free Republic. Our mission here is to fight against the America-hating, God-hating, capitalism-hating, abortionist/homosexualist leftist revolutionaries and marxist/fascist totalitarians who are hellbent on destroying our constitution, our religious freedom, our economic freedom, our Judeo-Christian way of life and the America we love.
Pro-life, pro-family, conservative Catholics, Protestants and Jews are not the enemy. All pro-life, pro-family pro-America believers in our one true Judeo-Christian God are our guests, friends and allies in this effort, so please quit attacking your allies!
Your attacks are not going to convert anyone.
Please save your ammunition for the enemy.
Were on a mission from God. Were putting the country back together.
If you do not agree with our mission and do not wish to cooperate with our efforts, then please log off and post somewhere else.
Thank you all very much!
God bless.
Wonderful perspective. Thanks, Jim. I hope my check has arrived by now.
Protestants aren't Catholics. It doesn't seem unreasonable to me that they might wish to caucus as Protestants. In a way, it's sort of amusing, as I've often seen Protestants deny that they are Protestant, and now they are caucusing as such. As long as they're not referencing Catholicism, I have no problem with it. I wish them well.

Catholic Caucuses sometimes engage in Jew-bashing, and it seems acceptable if it in relation to the historical views of Church Fathers. Do the same standards apply to Protestants and Catholicism or not?
That's pretty much an assumption just as Catholics declaring anyone who isn't Catholic is Protestant.
Either statement is true for some.
I've seen Catholics deny they are Christians and then some declaring that they are.
It's been said that if anyone is ever a Catholic, they are always a Catholic.
It has also been declared that if someone is Baptized a Catholic that they have a non-removal "mark" similar to "branding" (which inspired me to search the scriptures as the Bereans did and never found it in God's Word)
Some also declare that if anyone is baptized into any church they are baptized into the Catholic church.
Then I've seen people from a particular belief system say that if you don't belong to it you know nothing about it and cannot say what is believed by it.
Then sometimes they will expound upon other denominations as if what ever they declare about them is true.
Such is the nature of vigorous reasoned religious debate.
Usually (always?) with a capital “C”
If so, it's not allowed AFAIK.
This whole "bashing" thingie IMO has been blown all out of proportion.
It used to be that "Catholic bashing" was something directed towards an individual member.
Now it seems that disagreement with Catholicism is considered Catholic bashing by some.
Even posting quotes from some of their own writings is considered bashing Catholics by some.
Boasting really doesn't become one.
Douay-Rheims Bible
And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican.

You've noticed this??
Matt 18:17, KJVClearly to a group of Christians from the whole of believers that make up the Body of Christ, not a denomination.
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
But supporters of the LDS cult were the best at that...
No one can hold a candle to them in that dept
no pun intended
