This is Free Republic. We're on a mission from God.
Jim Robinson

Posted on 07/23/2015 6:10:35 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

This is Free Republic. Our mission here is to fight against the America-hating, God-hating, capitalism-hating, abortionist/homosexualist leftist revolutionaries and marxist/fascist totalitarians who are hellbent on destroying our constitution, our religious freedom, our economic freedom, our Judeo-Christian way of life and the America we love.

Pro-life, pro-family, conservative Catholics, Protestants and Jews are not the enemy. All pro-life, pro-family pro-America believers in our one true Judeo-Christian God are our guests, friends and allies in this effort, so please quit attacking your allies!

Your attacks are not going to convert anyone.

Please save your ammunition for the enemy.

We’re on a mission from God. We’re putting the country back together.

If you do not agree with our mission and do not wish to cooperate with our efforts, then please log off and post somewhere else.

Thank you all very much!

God bless.

Doing so is a passive aggressive way for the whiners on the warning thread to say Catholics aren’t Christians, without actually saying it and getting zotted. They are are not half as smart as they think they are.

So. Can Protestants post to Catholic Caucus threads? You didn't answer that question. And accusing someone of being passive aggressive... mind read much?

The canard about 30k or 40k is a little worn out also. There are Catholics. And there are Protestants. Both groups may contain Christians, but not always. Then there are non-Christian groups. Get it?

As for the whining, it seems to me that Catholics complaining about being "bashed" brought this on. So, instead of whining about it, complain to those who are actually responsible and tell Catholic posters to stop posting caucus threads.

Also, you might go read about what CAN be posted... devotional threads, caucus threads. It's on the Religion Moderator's homepage. Also, I believe upthread somewhere, Jim actually states that it's okay.

Nothing in the world is stopping you from reading a Protestant caucus thread.

Since labeling it as *Protestant caucus* also prohibits the people replying on the thread from even mentioning Catholicism, there is no opportunity for *Catholic bashing.*

So now you are free to read the thread and enjoy not being bashed in the process.

It’s a win/win situation.

Why does that seem to be a problem for you that you are objecting to it so much?

I thouroughly explained myself.

Ah, now it’s clear. The issue you isolated and ridiculed, Catholicism, has been forbidden for you to continue. Now you’re attacking me for calling out your tactics so that you have something new to isolate and ridicule. Nice. Peace be with you. We’re off to Mass.

This is genuinely funny; thanks for the laugh.

Take care.

The threads caucused "Protestant" are nondenominational Christian.

Who told you that?

Protestantism is made up of all of the denominations that relate to the protestant movement that started many centuries ago.

I am not a Protestant although a Christian, but my understanding of God and scripture aligns with basic foundation of all Protestant denominations.

Therefore, I am not allowed to post on Protestant Caucus threads unless given permission from a Protestant.

I have been called a protestant many many times by Catholics that believe there is Catholism, and all other Christians (called "separated brethren,) which they classifty as Protestant.

BTW I privately asked politely the poster of a Protestant Caucus thread if I could post on it and was told no.

I had no idea that some Protestants separate themselves from simple Bible believing born again Christians.

Fine with me, that answer came so late that the thread was stale by that time anyway.

Since Catholics are also Christian, there shouldn’t be a problem with us joining the conversation.
Oh I think the problem is shown in your next statement:
For a Christian you are such a mean spirited person
Perhaps this scripture will help:
King James 2000 Bible
Moreover if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he shall hear you, you have gained your brother.

You are certainly welcome to post on any Protestant caucus labeled thread I post.

In the past RF debates, it seemed that the Catholics considered Evangelicals as *Protestant*, IOW, anyone not Catholic, Mormon, Jewish, etc, was *Protestant*. So I was using the term *Protestant* as a catch all for non-Catholic Christians.

Religion moderator, I really hate to make more work for you, but since it’s come up, can a caucus thread have TWO caucus labels, as in Protestant/Evangelical?

I don’t want to exclude those who identify as Evangelical by labeling it *Protestant*, nor do I want to exclude those who identify as Protestant by labeling it *Evangelical*.

As the Catholics do. Works for me in respect to "slang" use of the word.

Protestant/Evangelical Caucus would be fine.

"Protestants know who this is."
======================

Well, Elsie, if you mean by your statement that some Protestants (such as the owners of this magnificent FR web site, or that towering, decent, honorable, and fair Methodist poster, "xzins") know who the real enemy is, then I would heartily agree with you.   However, if you mean by your statement that all Protestants on FR know who the real enemy is, the actual evidence for that so far (as demonstrated in the postings on FR) obviously does not comport with that overly-broad and dubious assertion.

(And, Elsie, if you mean by your statement that all Protestants (including all Protestants outside of FR) know who the real enemy is, then your assertion becomes even more dubious and improbable.)

For example, let's take a quick look at one well-known Protestant public figure (who most likely is not a FReeper), the girly-man, Bruce "Caitlyn" Jenner.   Do you think that that Protestant girly-man, Bruce "Caitlyn" Jenner, knows who the real enemy is, Elsie?   (As you analyze Jenner's endless brazen assaults on the truth with all his lies and deceptions, and his series of bizarre bodily mutilations, keep in mind that one of the first things that Bruce "Caitlyn" Jenner did (over two years ago), in his quest to become a girly-man, was to choose his new girly-name, "Caitlyn".   You can read all about that right here.)

Now, honestly, Elsie, does that sound like someone who knows who the real enemy is?

But do evangelicals consider themselves protestant?

Nice segue.

Can I change 'all' instances of the word Protestant to Catholic?

I'm sure it would be just as accurate.

The attitude displayed in some posts prompts me to wonder.

AHhhh...

The vague and mysterious SOME...

Can't get in much trouble THIS way.

But you STOPPED short of one of the favorite verses that 'one' of our posters likes to reply with:

But do evangelicals consider themselves protestant?

It's irrelevant.

The Protestant/Evangelical threads will be open to those who identify as Protestant and/or Evangelical.

I'm not going to get into hair splitting on definitions that are vague and especially not to please people who are antagonistic to either of them or have no business thinking that others have to answer to them.

Have a nice day.
