Franklin Graham is calling on Christians to boycott businesses that fund and promote the gay activist agenda.
Graham made the comment on Facebook, announcing that his ministry is pulling its accounts from Wells Fargo Bank because they're using a same-sex couple in their ads.
"This is one way we as Christians can speak out," Graham said. "We have the power of choice. Let's just stop doing business with those who promote sin and stand against almighty God's laws and His standards."
Gay activist bloggers are mocking Graham, saying it will be nearly impossible to do what he says because so many businesses now support the gay agenda.
In an earlier Facebook post, Graham called on Christians to pray for Supreme Court justices as they prepare to rule on gay marriage.
Graham said declaring same-sex marriage a constitutional right would be a "wicked, wicked thing," adding, "The only hope we have is prayer."
"Imagine tens and tens and tens of thousands of Americans praying for God to hear their prayers and to change the hearts of these justices," Graham continued. "He might just do that."
Oh, you will explain yourself to God...that is for certain. Homosexuality is literally an abomination to God...you justify that by your actions. You help those who are drowning in sin by throwing them an anchor rather than a lifeline. God doesn’t accept turning our backs on others, He expects us to love one another...that means being charitable. Bringing God’s love to those in need is the most charitable thing you can do...helping deprive them of that by ignoring their sin is one of the worst things you can do. Would you also watch a man rape a girl or boy for that matter minding your own business?
It is getting that way. I prefer that businesses just shut up and sell their products/services.
Nah, we have never spoken of politics in any way.
These two guys, like me, were dislocated to this area by Hurricane Katrina.
They ended up in a very conservative little country town in Florida, and after a fashion they have opened their business, and seem to be doing very well.
This building that they are in was a bit of an eyesore too.
Owners of previous failed businesses at this location really did not take much pride in the outside appearance of it, so it started to look pretty run down.
When this business moved in, it is clear that the owners want the outside to look as inviting as possible, and they have gone well out of their way to landscape the front of it pretty darn well.
This makes the whole area that it is in look so much better.
They are a benefit to the community that they are located in. It’s very small, to the point that each individual business owner can make a significant difference in its outward appearance depending on how much work they put in to a business’s outward appearance.
There's a difference between supporting sin and supporting a business run by sinners. If you refused to do the latter you'd have to go live off the grid in the woods and raise your own food, because everyone, whether they operate their own business or not, sins. Boycott the gay-owned sandwich shop, and your alternatives are the sandwich shop owned by the guy living with his girlfriend, or the shawarma stand owned by Muslims.
It's no wonder that when St. Paul reminded the Corinthian church not to associate with sexually immoral people, he immediately qualified that by saying he didn't mean people in the world, because you would have to leave the world entirely to avoid them (1 Cor. 5:9-10). In a pagan society, doing business with pagans is a practical necessity.
Chris said he didn't know what the politics of the shop owners were, so I infer that there is nothing in the shop openly promoting gay causes. So by buying lunch there, arguably you are not supporting homosexuality, you are purchasing goods and services. Which is different from a corporation that targets gays in their marketing: in that case, a portion of your money is going to promote immorality, and I'd say a boycott was arguably justified.
Wonder if Graham supports the boycotting of ABC. The ABCFam, ABC Family Channel is airing the showing Becoming US - about a teen whose father Charlie becomes Carly. Gross, I will not watch it and I have asked the local cable provider to remove ABC channels from my cable network. i will not support the Transgender agenda either!
It figures that the pro-abortion libertarian would lie about Franklin Graham and a Christian boycott of “businesses that fund and promote the gay activist agenda”.
He didn’t say anything about boycotting businesses owned by homosexuals.
Your post was a pro-gay lie, by a libertarian, pro-abortion poster.
I first thought the same thing too, thinking it was satire.
Been trying to do this for YEARS.....Haven’t looked at a Levi’s product for DECADES since they pretty much got the ball rolling.
I do not think you read, or if you did, understood my post. Either way, I stand by what I wrote. Franklin Graham is correct. The Christian Churches are being attacked by the LGBT community. The laws that are being passed are intended to persecute Christians. If you cannot understand that, my explaining further will not enlighten you. I and many others stand with God, truly stand with God. God gave you free will to choose what side you are on. You have made your decision, so have I.
Shut up, man, I have no interest in talking with you about anything.
You make me want to projectile vomit.
Yeah, if they started promoting items from the gay agenda within the store, then I would have a problem going there.
Doing that would make me feel like I am not welcome there to be honest.
Hey, at least with this business you know exactly who is running it. Meanwhile, the sandwich shop down the street is being run by heterosexual, married swingers. Eat their sandwiches, you will be none the wiser. :-)
I still enjoy the Wells Fargo Ad with the little Deaf Girl and her two new Mommies. Why, it made my Heart just melt./s
The government giving preference to businesses because they have health benefits for same sex partners, networking groups for LBGTA, preferences for hiring the sexual minorities along with people of color, etc. is part of the reason so many businesses are officially pro-diversity.
And of course all those Libertarians out there that says government shouldn't regulate morality have no comment on this example of government regulating morality. If anything, they are in favor of it.
You obviously just want to propagandize against Christians and conservatism.

How do you know they are homosexual?
Oooo...that sounds GOOD!
I have come to a realization that one of the most salient aspects of Liberalism is not wanting to be mean to people. It goes so far as to create an absolute hatred of those people who are willing to be mean to other people.
In a society where everyone gets a prize for participating, we aren't allowed to discriminate between losers and winners, because everyone is a winner because to say someone is a loser is being mean.
We are going to "nice" ourselves to death.
Yikes...haven’t seen that!
Just by their mannerisms.
One behaves as the male of the relationship, but still gives off a particular vibe, and the other behaves as the female and is quite flamboyant.
I also know that they live together.
