“The first use of the word homophobia is credited to George Weinberg who coined the term in the late 1960s, later discussing it at length in a book in 1972. The first use in print, however, was by activists Jack Nichols and Lige Clarke in their May 23rd column in Screw magazine, 1969. 1
How did we ever get along without this inane terminology for thousands of years?

Good news, and the timing is great for us over here in America, it ties into our current religious battle.

. . . their May 23rd column in Screw magazine, 1969Watch for this to show up behind glass in the National Archives (maybe replacing the Constitution).

I don’t have to judge if homosexuality is wrong anymore than I have to judge if rape, theft, murder, or adultery is wrong. God judged it and said it is wrong.

In the 60s and 70s, most homosexual men accused every straight person, male or female, of harboring homosexual tendencies. This was very boring if you had gay friends, btw. So, since they believed you were surpressing your gay inner self, you were ipso facto! a homophobe. That’s how I remember it, anyway.

A homosexual can be accepted into the Catholic Church IF he/she refrains from acting on the homosexual impulse. The refraining part doesn't get across to the ones concerned about this behavior. They stop with “a homosexual can be accepted into the church”.
When this came out about the Pope accepting homos, I knew homos would see this as they were accepted with their sexual perversion ongoing, and that is what they did.
America is sliding to become the Sodom of Biblical days.

Just because the Church bureaucracy doesn’t submit this to the Pope for approval out of embarrassment for the Church; doesn’t mean that the Pope isn’t ultimately going to approve this.
My bet is you will see the Pope approving this in days.

That’s good, but I’m not sure it was the pope who did this. I don’t know who is in charge of the office of the Vatican Sec’y of State, but he was the one who has refused to act on (not denied) the appointment.
The French plan to appeal this to the pope. So we shall see.

Apparently, this was rejected on order of Francis himself. From what I’ve read.

Obama will probably send the Pope a note....
saying like...Why don't you get off your high horse....
To: NYer
Well he did say “of good will” which presumably meant someone who wanted to be free of its domination.
