Florida Boy's Circumcision Spurs Lengthy Legal Battle, Protests BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. An estranged Florida couple's fight over whether to circumcise their son has become a rallying cry for those who denounce the procedure as barbaric. The dispute between Heather Hironimus, the mother opposing circumcision, and Dennis Nebus, the father favoring it, has sparked a prolonged court battle, protests and the rapt attention of a movement of self-proclaimed "intactivists."

If he’s already four they should leave the poor kid alone, unless he has some medical issue that needs to be corrected. He can have the procedure done as an adult if he wishes.
Our sons are uncircumcised. I didn’t care one way or another but my husband cared a lot so I let him make the decision. In our research about pro/con I found that here in California, cut/uncut these days is running about 50/50.
But...it’s kind of like tonsils... If they’re removed as a young child it’s not even traumatic. Wait till you’re an adult and it’s pretty darn painful.
Compromise and do a dorsal slit. All the advantages of circumcision without removing any skin.
magine, this is going to be his first memory. Of his parents just standing there whilesome stranger cutting off a piece of his manhood and then serves a catered lunch.
The Bible speaks very highly of it... Perhaps you should read it.
It put me in diapers for years.
You’re kidding.
No clip at the site...
"For neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of God" (1 Corinthians 7:19).
"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love" (Galatians 5:6).
"For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation" (Gal. 6:15).
Yeah. That's some high praise, there.
Perhaps you need to read more of the Bible, much more...
Luke 2:21 And at the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
Who do you follow?
I follow Jesus . . . and since Jesus picked the apostles who took his Gospel into the world, Paul, too, had the authority to interpret Christ's teaching for Christians.
I'll certainly take Paul's word over yours, since you teach as the scribes, and not as one who has authority.
People who claim the Messiah has Lord should follow His example.
It seems whomever you are following is contradicting himself. The Almighty does not contradict Himself. Consider the modern riddle: How can the back 1/3 of your Bible contradict the first 2/3? Perhaps you don’t understand any of it...
People who claim the Messiah as Lord shouldn't despise the God-breathed Scriptures written by his Apostle, Paul.
Perhaps you dont understand any of it...
Perhaps you have no clue what I understand or don't. You certainly don't show evidence of one.
Unfortunately, no. I know it’s legal in New York City now. I’m pretty sure they just legalized it.
It blows my mind that they’re allowed to change their sex on their birth certificates. Shades of 1984.
denial of reality is another thing that the left and Islam share in common
“People condemn the muzzies for cutting women, yet cutting males is ok?”
The muzzies cut males too! When the boy is 7 years old!!!
Know it well, read it a few times, I’d say you should do a full study on the subject and go back to the Hebrew.
Isolated cases are hard to speak against it’s personal. However the concept that it’s a requirement for salvation, then why do parents make the decision? Do parents pave the way for their children?
We don’t live under Abrahams law, we don’t have that covenant, it’s been removed and the price paid.
But we all have our own interpretation.
God bless all of you!
Almost every usage of “circumcision” in the New Testament is a reference to ritual conversion to the Judaism of the First Centur (a four step process). That fact is overlooked by nearly all modern commentators when studying Paul’s writings. Jewish boys are circumcised on the eighth day, that is the sign of the covenant. In Acts 21, James goes out of his way to validate Paul and make clear that Paul had NOT been speaking against circumcision.
To declare that circumcision is now a bad thing, when it was given as an eternal command by the Almighty, is quite bold... And disturbing. Perhaps He has “changed His mind” on a lot of other things too....?
Meanwhile, the "official Jewish leadership" doesn't even know how to say "Thus saith the L-rd" (they think that's a chrstian expression) and can do nothing but stutter about the First Amendment and religious freedom and the dangers of "theocracy."
