>>All Catholic homes have a Bible and the Bible is taught in Catholic schools (as is its perennial tradition).<<

All no..Most yes. It is tradition to gift a Family Bible to a newly wed Roman Catholic couple. Where they record the date of marriage, births, baptisms, first communion etc.

Having one and reading one is another matter.

Their are Catholic families who love and use those Bibles. My parents were such. We used to read it together before evening family prayers.

If Jesus isn’t enough to help you, then nobody can help you, doesn’t matter if you can call on Mary, Peter, Zeus or Chuck Norris. You’re up the creek.

Not even Peter, Paul and Mary PLUS Crosby, Still, Nash AND YOUNG along with John, George, Paul and Ringo will save you.

Only Jesus is necessary and sufficient.

Luther was excommunicated. Are you saying he had a true doctrine?

The Pharisees would excommunicate a man healed by Jesus and his parents. They already had problems with Jesus!

John 9:13-41

13 They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind. 14 Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man’s eyes was a Sabbath. 15 Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. “He put mud on my eyes,” the man replied, “and I washed, and now I see.”

16 Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.”

But others asked, “How can a sinner perform such signs?” So they were divided.

17 Then they turned again to the blind man, “What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened.”

The man replied, “He is a prophet.”

18 They still did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they sent for the man’s parents. 19 “Is this your son?” they asked. “Is this the one you say was
born blind? How is it that now he can see?”

20 “We know he is our son,” the parents answered, “and we know he was born blind. 21 But how he can see now, or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. Ask him. He is of age; he will speak for himself.” 22 His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders, who already had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue. 23 That was why his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.”

24 A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God by telling the truth,” they said. “We know this man is a sinner.”

25 He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”

26 Then they asked him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”

27 He answered, “I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples too?”

28 Then they hurled insults at him and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses! 29 We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.”

30 The man answered, “Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. 31 We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will. 32 Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. 33 If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

34 To this they replied, “You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!” And they threw him out.

35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”

36 “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.”

37 Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.”

38 Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.

39 Jesus said,[a] “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.”

40 Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?”

41 Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.

>>But Evangelical Christians offer zero options for non-members to achieve salvation.<<

You are operating from a flawed premise. However you are correct in a certainty. Evangelicals can only offer the Gospel as commanded by Christ (Luke 24) and as clearly explained in 1 Corinthians 15. That IS the only option presented by the Holy Spirit for salvation.

As a born, practicing, and educated Roman Catholic through university, now Evangelical Christian my observation is the Catholic church offers the Gospel plus more. More in the way of “yes the Gospel but you must do this as well..”

If you would like a bit more clarity let me know. I usually write out a lot and get few relpies on this subject.

Thanks.

>>Yes, I am, and I’m also a teacher in a Jesuit school, so get a lot of help, discussion, and information there.<<

Went to a Jesuit university in the late 80s. Are they still teaching Liberation Theology?

>> “i have no problem with that but those words are the apostles creed from way back. they define what a christian is and believes” <<

.
No apostle ever voiced such a creed; it is an unscriptural assertion of what someone wanted to limit the faith to.

What define what a Christian is and believes are the words and deeds of Yeshua. They differ much from what that man made ‘creed’ says.

Read his words in the gospels.

To be honest I’ve never been obsessed with Luther so I really don’t know.

Did Pope Stephen VI who exhumed and tried the corpse of his predecessor possess a “True Doctrine?”

How about Pope John XII who gave land to a mistress and murdered?

Does your current Pope Francis have a “True Doctrine?”

I know Jesus was rejected by the fancy people of His day. You Catholics try to look mighty fancy. You place Mary as His equal and at times His superior.

What’s your doctrine?

Did you get theory that from Satan?
The Bible was given by God, and written by those He give it to.
Have you forgotten the Hebrew Bible? What do you think happened BEFORE 1545 ?
Do you think those scriptures did't exist?
Arrogance is a trademark of your Satanic organization!

Not at my school - but we’re a secondary school not a university, and we’re also in Australia, not America. The Jesuits here, from my observation, seem to be a significantly more conservative grouping than those at the Jesuit universities in America. I think a lot of it comes down to where they are sent to work - the more ‘radical’ ones here in Australia seem to find themselves assigned to social work type ministry, and the more conservative ones are kept in the schools. In Australia, the best Jesuit schools have, for over a century, been a large part of helping Catholics to join the upper classes - our current Prime Minister and a number of members of his Cabinet, and the Leader of the Federal Opposition are ex-Jesuit schoolboys - and that mission is seen as very important. If the schools went left they’d become a lot less popular with parents who are willing to pay the high fees involved - and they’d send their sons to protestant schools instead.

It's the same false church with the same stinking falsehoods.
You haven't read Daniel, chapter 7, have you?
