He has been called the “superman pope”, and it would be hard to deny that Pope Francis has had a good December. Cited by President Barack Obama as a key player in the thawing relations between the US and Cuba, the Argentinian pontiff followed that by lecturing his cardinals on the need to clean up Vatican politics. But can Francis achieve a feat that has so far eluded secular powers and inspire decisive action on climate change? It looks as if he will give it a go.

I can make it another decade. Pope Francis knows he can’t.
I imagine that he has no training in climate science. Being pope does not mean you know everything about everything,
I am trying to be as optimistic as you....I am generally a very optimistic person....I am struggling with a lot of what is going on in the Church right now.

He is just a man prone to error and corruption as any other man.
Well he cannot speak of Faith and Morals on Climate change unless he changes from God the Creator to the gods of winds and rain and I think there is a Commandment that would keep him from doing so (false idols) ... Thus if he cannot speak infallibly on it, he cannot make any major changes that can last the test of time at all, but he could and does do damage, Gates of Hell.. are at the Church’s doors now or so it would seam.
Make that Al Gore and his hokey environmental algorerithms.
Francis is speaking well beyond the limits of his expertise.
It is not wise to seek the words of the Pope in the mass media.
So what. The leader of thr first Protestant church thinks the same way.
