Is Prayer/Veneration/Worship to Mary Biblical?
self | 12-14-14 | ealgeone

Posted on 12/14/2014 11:57:21 AM PST by ealgeone

The reason for this article is to determine if the worship/veneration given to Mary by the catholic church is justified from a Biblical perspective. This will be evaluated using the Biblical standard and not man’s standard.

Why then, don't y'all follow Mary's instructions to do whatever He tells you?

I receive them daily, from her lips.

Then no one needs to be baptized, go to confession, take communion...

These are not works of law. We do these things for the love of God.

for verification purposes

Ah, police station tactics. I have faith, dear. I know Who I got it from.

Yes. Like starting your idiotic "reformation" and forgetting what the Holy Scripture teaches. That was a "dispute between believers" till, of course, the Portestants stopped being believers altogether.

dude...this all you got? snarky little minded comments?

bring something to the table worthwhile.

Paul’s point is that you cannot receive Christ’s Last Supper elements worthily unless you are in a right relationship with Christ’s Body of believers.

That may be true also, but the verses in focus deal with the words of Christ about His physical body.

The Scripture does not say it was kept, nor used again ever

The miraculous cure was discarded after one use?

the works simply proved the faith was genuine

That is not what the Holy Scripture says.

Well, Trent is correct and it addresses Protestant heresies specifically.

Learning to worship Mary is not a one lesson thing.

I’ve had several FR Catholics tell me once you’re a Catholic you can’t change. It seems you are a Catholic forever.

I’ve had several FR MORMONs tell me once you’re DEAD!!! you CAN!!! change!!!

It seems you will get a chance to be a MORMON in the afterlife - after all!!!

LOL. Those who stray from the Catholic faith also stray from common sense or common courtesy. Thank you for noticing.

Those who STAY in the Catholic faith seem to suffer from lack of common sense or common courtesy.

Folks have noticed.
